Still loving and fighting! 🧡🙏💪🐾🧡🙏💪🐾🧡🙏💪🐾
My doctors didn’t give the great news we were hoping for today. They can see some small spots on my lungs have appeared which means the cancer has found another place besides my heart to try and knock me down. The tumor on my heart has not grown which is good news! The spots on my lungs are caught very early since the
CT Scan shows such great imaging. They are so small right now that if I had just had an X-ray they would not even be seen yet. I’ve been doing great and feeling so good and my bloodwork is the way it should be. With that being said I will continue some sort of chemotherapy to fight this evil cancer! I do believe all of your love and prayers are helping me tremendously so I thank you again. I’m not forgetting about all of my friends out there who are also fighting the good fight against cancer so let’s all join forces together!
This summer was filled with personal development and activities that were WAY out of my comfort zone. In the midst of my body image journey I chose 3 characteristics that I feel define me and allow me to be Sarah no matter my size or weight on the scale. Those words are Thoughtful, Brave and Silly.
My friend Chrissy at @baribaultjewelers in Glastonbury, CT was creating her own line of jewelry as I was transforming. The summer was ending we chatted about her jewelry idea and chose a word that would define my journey. We decided a Bbrave bracelet was just what I needed to seal this mindset. @christina_baribaultortiz designed this dainty yet FIERCE bracelet to remind me that no matter what happens I AM BRAVE and can continue to #Bbrave ! ❤ Thank you Chrissy I love it! ❤
Hi baby Brave.😍
We can’t share her story or her real name, but we can tell you we already love her so much! And we’re going to continue to love her without reserve for however long she’s here. She’s the sweetest, cutest, and bravest baby girl so the nickname seemed fitting.❤️ #fosterlove#gettooattached
This is tweet by @missmalinsara (who is an inspiration to a lot of people ❤️ ) is a little heart breaking but so true why are people so obsessed about other people’s appearance !. I’ve watched @jesynelson#OddOneOut documentary a few times and every time it has made me cry . jesy is so brave/strong and incredibly beautiful , it was pretty heartbreaking to watch💔 .
If you haven’t seen it then I would highly recommend it because it really does open your eyes to how serious one nasty comment can effect someone’s life😩.
More needs to be done to stop it all especially on social media and in schools!! . adults and children need to realise, what a sad and heartbreaking effect this has on other people’s lives!
And some people need to take a second to think before they speak or write that one hurtful comment? How would you feel if it that comment was about you ? or about a loved one! It would hurt wouldnt it ?
You never know what a person is dealing with behind closed doors whether they are famous or not , Bullying is NOT ok ! trolling is NOT ok ! ... what happened to treat people how you want to be treated .. “ be kind “ kindness costs nothing !

2016 vs. ➡️ 2019 (today) .
Most people have no idea what kind of hole you have to dig yourself out of during and after a cancer diagnosis. The transformation internally is as equally as hard to the external transformation. The chemo, the surgeries, the medications – all make your body unrecognizable. And to be honest, it’s hard looking into the mirror and not recognizing the person staring back at you. However, you have to show up for yourself and fight back. One thing I’m certain of is the human spirit is undoubtedly stronger than anything that can happen to it.
One quote by Lance Armstrong always stuck with me during treatment, “You have two options, medically and emotionally: give up or fight like hell.”
If you are going through cancer or any life changing event, my hope is you always choose the last option!
For me, I’m super proud of the woman I am today, because I literally fought like hell to become her!
Smallest act of courage today, but oh, so powerful!
My job requires me to execute someone else's vision and ideas. Whilst I am expected to provide recommendations, ultimately I am not the decision maker.
I've been operating like this since the beginning of my working life, partly because I never had much of authority, but partly because... I avoided sticking my head out, without first clearing it with whoever was in charge.
But today I decided what the right thing to do was and took a difficult action, instead of asking for permission and clearance first.
On two different occasions!
It might get me into trouble, it might cause some eyes to roll, it might result in having to defend my decision or myself...
But I feel stronger and more authentic for it, knowing that I took these risks and truly put myself out there.
This is an open letter to all the women and girls---that are survivors of theft.
The kind of theft that leaves you preoccupied looking for something lost.
We will never recover what was stolen from us, so we embolden others and fill the cracks in ourselves with purpose.
We write our own secret songs with the felt tips of experiences dipped in the invisible ink called tears and then sing them in the tonation of jubilance and defiance
We open up the front doors of our souls, pour our light into the world, sprinkle salt around the perimeter of our hearts to protect ourselves from ourselves, burn sage on the sills of our misfortunes to keep the bad juju out, light white candles in the dark corners of ourselves, feeding on libations to keep the good juju in
We are not victims.
We are survivors.
We are exquisite.
We are BRAVE.
Hey sis, be #brave#bestrong#fightlikeagirl#pink#power
“I have no idea, how things will unfold and how am I going to manage with the given situation, even I could not collect anything from the house, including utensils and clothes."⠀
In July, Mrs. Mangai, a Christian widow, was attacked with a knife for being a believer. ⠀ ⠀
After Mangai became a Christian five years ago, she faced extreme hardship. When she became a believer, her job as well as her life was threatened. Hindu extremists tried to persuade her to recant her Christian faith, but she stood strong. As a widow with two children, Mangai was truly alone - the only Christian in the village. Several times, village leaders issued orders for Mangai to deny her Christian faith and become one among them as Hindus. She refused. ⠀
After the attack, Mangai fled from the village to save her life. Due to displacement, she lost small income that she used to get for cooking at the school for the students. ⠀ ⠀
ICC assistance to provided groceries for 2 months that relieved her from the burden of feeding her family, while hiding herself in different village to protect herself and her family. ⠀
“God has enabled me not to bend down to the pressures of the villagers who opposed my decision of following Jesus. Looking at the assistance I received, I am so encouraged to go on living for Jesus. The Food and groceries I have received will serve me for the next two months, as I work to come out of the situation that I am in now.” Mangai said. ⠀
"Oh all the comrades that e'er I've had
Are sorry for my going away
And all the sweethearts that e'er I've had
Would wish me one more day to stay
But since it falls unto my lot
That I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be with you all"
Ohh Weekend Warrior. How I love you.
I am now home and reflecting on the entire event.. And it was all so so amazing. And I have such a bittersweet feeling today. I met so many amazing new people, and strengthened lots of great friendships as well! Being at Weekend Warrior is one of the only places where I feel like I am 100 percent accepted as I am, even when I'm introverting, and I am so thankful to be surrounded by so many wonderful, adventurous, creative, nerdy, like minded people there! It was a wonderful weekend full of epic battles and adventure. And nothing beats running around in the woods in costumes, amongst so many people whom I love.
I am definitely feeling the post event blues today and missing everyone.
And I cannot wait to see you all next year! (hopefully sooner!!)
Weekend Warrior means so much to me, and impacts my life every single year.. So thank you all for being part of that magic for me.
And thank you to @fellandfair@the_forge_studios@adayofadventure and everyone else that bring this world to life!
I will be posting lots of photos soon.. As we had some incredible professional photographers there!
