Well, it’s among the top five. Adapting to the shock under 30 seconds now and staying in 5-10 minutes depending on therapeutic modality.
You often hear people say, “IT starts by taking the first step.”. Maybe for some.
I personally have found that IT starts when I open my eyes in the morning and fully realize that I AM. That “today” is a new day. NOW. The present.
There is so much peace and love in that space. The elegant sense of BEING is enough. From that place gratitude and abundance flows. You lack nothing. You slide into flow because you KNOW you are 1 with the 1.
The realization that you are connected to the way maker IS “the way”. Nothing hard, religious, snake oily, or out of reach about it. In fact, if you strip all the labels, branding, limiting beliefs, and atoms off you arrive at energy. Acknowledgement of that energy is the first step. And it’s FREE!!! From that space you make little choices all day that elevate and inspire your being to stay the best version of your human being-ness. The reward IS that elevated state. It doesn’t come and go unless by choice you choose to be in a lower state that IS “dis-ease”. Dis-ease does not happen to the body over night. The mind dis connects from the source and the body acts in a repeated fashion as the mind, day after day, and gets used to the habit of existing automatically on a low frequency where flow is merely enough to sleep walk through the daily to do list of routine human tasks.
Any one at any time can decide to get off the automatic spinning merry-go-round. The first step truly is “Being”. Still. Silent. Surrender. Open. Connect. Flow. I AM.... One day I overheard someone say, “If you fight for your limitations, you get to keep them.” Also, “Whatever you attach after “I AM”, you are.”. Breath workshop with Morgan from Mosaic yoga Toronto will be driving in to teach us this special 2hr pranayama workshop. What is pranayama it is a practice of controlling your breath. Your prana equals vital life force. Every cell in your body needs oxygen to function properly. Research has shown that the practice of controlled breathing can decrease the effects of stress on the body and increased mental health.
Why is this important in a Spa environment? Not only is it important to take care of your skin from the outside but when you learn to nourish every Cell in your body including your skin which is your largest organ you will see your skin health improve as well.
In this class you will learn a short breath practice that you will be able to continue at home to breathe and feel your best!

Are you a chest breather or a belly breather? If you breathe from your chest, you are relying on the muscles around your collarbone instead of your diaphragm. This type of breathing doesn't allow for the muscles in your upper body to function properly.
Practise inhaling for 4 counts allowing your belly to rise, the chest expands, then exhaling for 4 counts for proper belly breathing. 😀
