My work experience was at British Airways. My
Dad was an LAE with over 30 years of service. A very well respected man in Glasgow and Heathrow.
I went along many years ago as a young teenager (in my head I still am) and got to enjoy being in the cockpit, being on the ramp guiding planes and even (yes!!!! Even...!!!!) put rivets on the wings!
You should have seen my mums face a matter of weeks later when at Heathrow, I read out the tail number of the plane and told her that was the plane I fixed...in true Glaswegian charm I reminded her it had got to London so must be fine!
In an era where you generally were expected to follow in families footsteps, I’m glad I made a decision not to.
A love of planes and travel was born, along with a hard work ethic.
I’ve forged a career where I am able to travel, see the world and learn from other cultures. I am truly humbled by this. It’s not easy.
The rivets placed on that plane and the guidance from the team at BA, as my first ever venture into the working world proved massive for me.

Sharing OTB today all about my (quick) London trip! I’ve crafted a small travel guide that is ideal if you only have a day or your visiting the city during a layover! Link is in my bio! Happy Sunday everyone ❤️
