Our bathroom renovation is well underway and I am already planning the next project 🙈. This is why I am a proud member of the 95% club and give myself hard deadlines to finish big tasks. I get so inspired to create, while I’m creating, that I dream about what’s next and am itching to move on.
Our library took us 2 years (of weekends) to finish. And in between I would tackle smaller quick projects so that I would feel accomplished 😆. Forever chasing that productive feeling over here 🙋🏻♀️.

The amazing and creative things you can build out of wood.
Let’s talk a little motivation on this Monday! This last 8 months I’ve worked hard on setting up the shop to run consistently on a schedule. (Are you saying, well duh Jamie🙄) This is how it breaks down for me, week 1 is building and sanding. Week 2, finishing and prepping for the next projects. This weekly rotation keeps me on schedule and has made it easier for me to keep client projects on a timeline. It also has saved time setting up, moving equipment, cleaning etc,. Because I’m fast at the building part I also make extra table tops that will be cut to length when I have a contract for them. We all know that RUSH table drops in your schedule at the worst time and I like to be ahead of the game! 🙌🏻😀🙌🏻😀 . . . . .
It’s hard to see but I have four glue ups going on in this picture. 😳 . . . . .
Do y’all schedule yourself for a smoother process? Happy #mondaymotivation ♥️
Possibly the best client pictures I’ve ever received! 😍😍😍 My awesome client came to me with a design she couldn’t find anywhere and asked me to re-create it for her!
It’s 44”Wx114”L. It’s my standard wood seamless top.
#meetthemaker Here I am in my glorious No-Space “Workshop”. It’s my upstairs back porch and all of 7x11ft but other options included outdoor shed (no thanks critters and rodents 😂) or my basement (thank you 1880 home for the dirt floors 🙄). I can count all my builds on two hands but boy am I having fun. I have a few more projects lined up and endless home improvement tasks so stay tuned‼️
Oh. My. Goodness. YOU GUYS. Is it possible to fall completely in love with your hardwood flooring?! Because that’s totally happening rightthissecond. 😍😍😍 Our new hardwood floors look SO GOOD!!! The full reveal (along with a how-to tutorial) is on the blog, so click the link in my bio!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, we’ve got matching switch plates and outlet covers! And they’re fabulous, right? Right!

It's done and the first service was held in it yesterday!
This is the monster project I've shown glimpses of but here it is completed.
I designed and with the help of others built this wood wall and two rolling counters for my church to use in their new service.
I would love to know what you think!

I thought this might be the piece that killed me, presenting challenge after challenge. But it’s no fun if it’s easy, right?
This stunning piece will be available for purchase in the coming days x
Not one single guess of ‘custom flute + violin stand’ from the sneak peek of this piece 🤣
There’s nothing like putting off what you should be doing with a fun project like this one, love how it turned out - and so practical!
One of my highlights was making the local paper. Talk about a heart attack when someone was interviewing me. My heart was racing. I was just so excited to share what I loved doing! 1st time I ever was in the paper was 6 yrs old with my mom at home making homemade bread. 2nd time in the paper an art show in 8th grade. 3rd time me as an adult ❤ creating with my hands has landed me in the paper. 3x lol. 🎊❤💪
Happiness is when your friend Ramone @americancrokinole texts you and asks if you want free wood! 😍💪🙏😌🎊 Drove down and seen his shop and all his cool boards hes making 😯 then we went on a drive out to the country to Penders so he could meet him and see his mill. Was a nice morning for a drive! Already home and ready to play in the shop! Thank my friend!!!!!
| Clubhouse |
Phase 1 of the clubhouse is officially complete! The under the stairs play nook took us all summer, 2 attempts, $150, and was worth every nap time hustle.
The blog post tutorial will go live over the weekend with full details. You can see the time lapse video from start to finish on IGtv.
My biggest takeaway from this project is to always trust my gut. Even if that means a do over. You are worth the do over.
Would you call this a hidden spline or a floating tenon? Either way, I love using this method to reinforce a miter. This jig took me maybe 10 minutes to make, and this was the second project I’ve used it on already. I can’t wait to use it again!
We are so close to the finish on our #shantyfliphouse and we couldn’t be more excited! We shared a full progress tour in our stories - check it out! We are getting so many DM’s asking if we plan to list this house and where is it. The answer is YES and Colleyville, TX! It should be listed in a few weeks 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 #texashomes#shanty2chic
