One of our favorite pastimes when not busy with bungalow work: reading. We've become regular raiders of @atdbookbar for the next batch of stories on our list (and the occasional @fatcardinalprovisions butterscotch cookie to pair with coffee 😅). Still can't get over the fact that we have an amazing neighborhood bookstore (used and special order books) just around the corner! Bookshelves are definitely going to be a key feature in the Bamboongalo.

So the phase one is nearly finished. All roof works have been completed and the only thing is outstanding is the gable end window which might take a while to get...the first potential supplier stated that it might take 12 weeks 🤨. Also the old wood cladding needs replacing but we will come back to exterior once the inside is done. I will post more phots once scaffolding is gone and all the dust is washed away!
We chose to stay in the house when renovating, primarily driven by cost and convenience. It was only supposed to take 6 months but even at this stage, the writing was on the wall for a longer project. It is very handy to be on site to make all those hour to hour decisions and I prefer the internal moving to external moving for sure. It is not for the faint hearted though. It is a real slog at times.

Traveling long term means that you’re always on the move. With that being said, constantly looking for somewhere to spend the night or two in becomes a part of your daily life.
So far we have stayed in a lot of different places since we started traveling together. They range from really good accommodations to sleeping on the airport floor. It all becomes a part of the whole travel experience.
This bungalow for example was one of the better options we’ve recently had. We had a huge private bungalow with an outdoor shower and delicious breakfast served every morning by the pool! Staying in a bungalow always feels so tropical and exotic!
