The Top 5 Insurance Mistakes that Small Business Owners Make⠀
As insurance advisors, we have (unfortunately) seen many small business owners make these all-too-common mistakes, and we want to help YOU avoid them at all costs!⠀
Read through this list so you can learn from these mistakes without having to make them yourself. You’ll save yourself time, money, and a whole lot of hassle in the process. ⠀
1️⃣ Waiting too long to get insurance⠀
Don’t risk operating unprotected! If anything goes wrong, it could cost you a LOT of money, very quickly. Put getting insurance at the top of your list.⠀
2️⃣ Letting insurance policies run out⠀
Lapses in insurance put you at risk. Just like renewing your driver’s licence, you need to make sure you renew your coverage well before your previous policy runs out.⠀
3️⃣ Not getting the right coverage⠀
There are a lot of insurance options available to small business owners, which can be overwhelming. An Insurance Advisor can help you make sure you have not only the RIGHT coverage, but ENOUGH coverage, too.⠀
4️⃣ Not planning for the future⠀
Where will your business be a few years from now? Will you have more employees? A bigger space? And can your coverage keep up? Perform a realistic assessment of where you hope to be a few years from now, and get enough insurance to cover it.⠀
5️⃣ DIY-ing commercial insurance⠀
Don’t risk doing something THIS important by yourself! Avoid all these mistakes and give yourself peace of mind by working with a Business Insurance Advisor who specializes in this field. ⠀

If you own a business, choosing the right insurance is one of the most important decisions you will make.
Inadequate coverage can be a very costly mistake, and you could end up paying for it personally.

•We can check the rates of several companies all at once.
•The more companies checked = a greater chance of finding the best rate for you and your family or business.
•We give unbiased advice because we are not solely employed by one carrier.
•We help save you time because you’ll only need to provide your information one time.
•We are proactive when it comes to your insurance rate.
•We can get a head start when it comes to rate changes - if we know rates are increasing, we can start looking for a better deal before the increase takes place.
Risk. It’s not always the first thing that comes to mind when you think about your business. Yet, all businesses face risks. Some businesses face greater risks than others and have particularly unique risk profiles.⠀
Regardless of your industry, product line, or service offering, your small business faces liability risk. The most common liability risks include physical damage, bodily injury, and failure to meet contractual obligations. Commercial General Liability (GL) insurance covers accident-related damages that your small business may be found legally liable for. A GL insurance policy also protects the company and its employees, wherever they are doing business.⠀
Here at Dunham Insurance we are specially focused in providing the best GL policies at the best rates. How do we do that? By customizing the policy exactly to what your specific type of business requires and letting our agents shop around the best rate for you! Contact us today for a Free quote!
Hiii ☺️👋🏽 and happy Monday! For those that have been following for a while, allow me to reintroduce myself. And for those who are new, allow me to introduce myself...

WHY I’VE BEEN MIA 🔎
When COVID-19 took a turn for the worst, I made the conscious decision to take a temporary break from Instagram, so that I could access the situation.
I knew that the content I had planned for the coming week needed to change, given the utterly unbelievable circumstances we faced 😧
Like many people, I felt as though I was being absolutely bombarded from every direction with COVID-19 content.
The situation was evolving rapidly and changing daily.
The insurance industry was very slow to make any announcements and when they there was a lot of confusion and misinformation.
I reached a point where I felt as though I didn’t have anything valuable to say, well at least not anything that wasn’t already being said 🤷🏼♀️
I was in a very fortunate position, unlike so many people in the world, my job was secure, I could continue working from home and my income wasn’t affected 🔒
Everything inside me was telling me to stop posting and to use this as an opportunity to refocus my attention to other areas of my life.
So I did.
Stop posting that is.
Whilst I had big ‘me’ plans for iso, it didn’t quite go the way I had envisioned (to be continued) 😅
So that’s it 💁🏼♀️ It was a personal choice that felt right for me and my biz 😊
How did you approach the gram when the realities of COVID-19 set in? 🤳🏽🦠

The last time I uploaded an intro post was over 450 followers ago! That’s a lot of new faces to get to know 😍
So, let’s play a little game... share 3, tag 3 💁🏼♀️
How to play:
Share 3 facts about yourself
Tag 3 friends to join in the fun
I’ll kick this off…
1️⃣ When I was a personal trainer, I competed in 3 bikini bodybuilding competitions 💪🏽👙
2️⃣ I almost dropped out of school in year 10 to enroll in a media course at TAFE 🎙
3️⃣ When I was 12, I ate a whole pavlova on Christmas Day (yes, I was really sick #regrets , although I still love pav) 🐷
Your turn girls 🤗 @email@example.com@bewellwith.mel

Side-by-side business insurance policy quotes help you find the best plan for your business, and can be critical to your business's success.
Without the proper insurance at a price your business can afford, you could find yourself with unexpected expenses.
Obtain at least three to five different quotes to compare policies. Do not hesitate to call us if you are unclear about something. As insurance experts, we can guide you to make the best decision that suits your needs.
It is important to review an insurance policy on a periodic basis. All too often we set insurance policies aside in a file drawer and forget that some items in them need to be updated from time-to-time.
There are four events that should trigger a review of your policy:
📍When your policy comes up for renewal
📍 When you have made major purchases or improvements to your home
📍 When you have made your home safer
📍 When you experience major lifestyle changes

As many as 43 million Americans could lose their health insurance in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
Prior to the pandemic, 160 million Americans, or roughly half the population, received their medical insurance through their job. The tidal wave of layoffs triggered by quarantine measures now threatens that coverage for millions.
Many will use social safety nets to obtain insurance, including Medicaid, the public health insurance program for low-income people. However, eligibility criteria varies from state to state, with more restrictions in Republican-led states.

I GOT MY GROOVE BACK 💃🏼 🎉
If you didn’t catch my post from last Monday – I was experiencing a major block in creativity. I was feeling super flat in general and had been for weeks 👎🏽
Motivation was low and I certainly wasn’t springing out of bed in the morning like my usual self 😴
Since starting the new J.O.B. daily movement dropped waaayyy down on my priority list and this was largely due to my life revolving around exercise for a solid 4 years.
The pendulum had gradually swung from one extreme to the other. Which I was totally ok with, it was a much-needed break 🙌🏽
But after 5 months of virtually no exercise it was time to meet somewhere in the middle and get moving again 👟✨
So last Tuesday I got my butt to @f45northbridge for the 5.15am class and oh my gosh I’m so happy that I did. Hot damn I was feeling amazing afterwards 🤩
I was finished by 6am, so I had loads of time to get ready for my day. By 7.30am I was out the door, on my way to get my morning coffee and in the office by 7.45am 👏🏽
1 week down and voila, I’m feeling so much more productive, motivated, creative and energised ⚡️
Walking Cleo 🐶 and getting to Pilates has so much easier too! 🤸🏼♀️
Moral of the story – make sure you’re filling up your cup 💫
What do you do to fill up your cup each day? 💖
