I can’t get over the beauty we saw around Lake O’Hara, but I was fixated on Mount Biddle and quickly fell in love 😍 The views from Mount Yukness ledges were worth every muscle knot I am now rolling out of my legs and feet 😬. I have a million more photos to post about this amazing weekend... ;)
Thanks again to my @qweenyyc for winning the lottery w. the hut.😘

The Purcell Mountains are a mountain range in southeastern British Columbia, Canada. They are a subrange of the Columbia Mountains, which includes the Selkirk, Monashee, and Cariboo Mountains. They are located on the west side of the Rocky Mountain Trench in the area of the Columbia Valley, and on the east side of the valley of Kootenay Lake and the Duncan River.
Mount Nimbus is located in the stunning Purcell Mountain range – a dedicated UNESCO World Heritage Site – which offers panoramic views of the sprawling alpine oasis in every direction.
The suspension bridge is part of the access route leading to the peak of Mount Nimbus called a via ferrata. Italian for “iron way,” a via ferrata consists of a course of iron ladders, rungs, and bridges that sees climbers tiptoe their way across canyons and scale up the sides of mountains.
Standing 600 metres (1970 feet) in the sky, the Mt. Nimbus via ferrata is more than 500 metres higher than both the Capilano Suspension Bridge and the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge in Squamish.
The route was built in 2007 by Canadian Mountain Holiday (CMH) guides and is part of an exclusive excursion available only to guests of CMH’s Bobbie Burns Lodge. In order to reach it, guests must start at the remote Bobby Burns Lodge, which can be found near the city of Golden, BC. A helicopter then picks up guests and drops the riders throughout a valley. After being dropped off, the newly-turned mountaineers clip their harness to the steel harness of the via ferrata and begin the climb. The climb spans nearly 2.5 km, ending at a breathtaking suspension bridge linking two peaks.

We’ve heard the song but we never thought we’d actually find the stairway to heaven. But there it was, at Ram Falls, Alberta... @davidthompsoncountry

Was Led Zeppelin in Alberta, cuz I imagine this was the inspiration for stairway to heaven. Haha. For real though. I had no idea this place existed and I’ve lived here for 35 years. Ram Falls, just a one hour dirt road adventure away from Nordegg. Easily one of the most beautiful falls I’ve ever seen. Ever been?
