Autumn rain and the empty beaches! Just wait, we still enjoy our beaches even in the winter!

It would have been great if all of our residential areas in the city were similar to this location. The Seawall, low-rise residential homes, walking and cycling paths in a rainy day, totally car-free. #carfree

My walk today in the rain was a different experience and feeling the rain drops was a memorable experience of my childhood. Being a pedestrian in a safe, inviting, and car-free environment is an amazing experience.
What a transporting experience living the beauty and ecstasy of autumn!

Visiting Montreal made me realize: 🍁 I want a Grouse Grind round two
🍁I miss sushi bar hopping
🍁I miss fantastic consignment stores
🍁I love Indian food
🍁Ice cream can be hard to find in the fall
Might be time to go back to Vancouver...

Dear mother nature. Please don't blow all of the leaves off the trees. I will be going to Cape Breton for the first time this weekend and I'd rather have the leaves still on the trees.
Ps. This photo was from yesterday. It might be different after the storm today though.

Starting today, South Surrey resident @ethan.dijkstra be taking over our Instagram account for the week to share his photos and stories of Surrey. Be sure to follow along throughout the week to see his stunning photos and stories!
My name is Ethan Dijkstra (@ethan.dijkstra) and I’m an 18-year-old photographer born and raised in South Surrey. One of the many reasons I got into photography is that it’s been in the family for generations. My grandpa and opa both have decades of experience in photography and my grandpa is the one who inspires me to keep going and not to give up no matter how hard it may seem. I am sure you are familiar with the phrase “you are your own worst critic”. Every time I take a photograph, I strive for it to be better than the last, and there can be an internal struggle when I feel like the photos are not up to my standards. However, going to Crescent Beach for a breath of fresh air in the evening and watching this stunning sunset, reminds me of my passion for capturing the moment. Simply not getting any photos that are up to my standards in a while. For this photo I had biked out all the way to Crescent Beach and had waited nearly an hour to get this stunning capture of the sunset and it was well worth the wait to say the least!

Vancouver Central Public Library in this fine Monday evening.
Can you believe I've lived here my whole life and haven't been to Mahone Bay? Well, I was there a few weeks ago and stopped at this little shop and I have to say, their desserts were amazing. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name.
Ps. I was sick for about a week hence my disappearance from social media.
