I’ve been staring at the “enter caption” space for like 10 minutes but my brain power this evening is non-existent 😅
I’m sure I’m not the only one who has this struggle 😂
Maple is wearing GRYFFIN which features a deep burgundy and a stunning mustard yellow 😍
Dreaming of WinterPalms🤭❄️

TFW it feels like Novemberary.
13cm of snow and feels like -24. I’ll take Mahm for a walk anyways. She should get out more.
Also did you see my new @head.lites blue insert?! I like that I can switch up the colours without buying a whole new collar that is still fully functional.
We know everyone is excited about the possibility of fostering or adopting Poppy or her puppies but we will not be accepting any applications, foster or adoption wise, for them until after our event. We need time to ensure we get to know everyone as best as possible in order to place them in homes we know they will be successful in! The pups will not be going into foster/adoptive homes until 8 weeks of age and Poppy until we have her spayed, which seems about the same timeline as the pups. We have named our 9 pups! For the girls we have Kali, Karma, and Kira. The boys we have Khaos, Kosmo, Kash, Kibbles, Knight and Kai. Thank you everyone for the name suggestions!
Today Dr.Middleton from Dundas Animal Hospital came and checked out mom and babies as well as Roy. He estimates that Poppy is around 5-6 years old and has had multiple litters. He did fecal exams as well as heartworm tests for both poppy and Roy since we know they most likely spent a majority of their life outdoors. Roy’s neuter is scheduled for this up coming Tuesday. We are so grateful for all the donations we have received over the past few days that helped to cover this $500 vet bill.
It’s been a crazy past few days and we will admit we are tried. We’ve been trying to keep things fair for our own animals ensuring they are still getting love, training and attention. We definitely need help, and are always looking for volunteers. We have some big positions we need to fill. If you are hoping to or already have put in an application we promise we will get to you! We are setting aside some time this weekend to go over all applications. We are still looking for fosters for Roy and Argo. We would love to get them in a home where they can experience some love!
Two and a half weeks ago
we found out Cassius had a tumour in his throat that needed to be removed.
On Halloween he went in for surgery and they found a secondary mass in his mouth which they also removed and sent both for pathology.
For 2 weeks I’ve been trying to brace myself for something I know our family is really not ready for.
Yesterday, he got a clean bill of health!
The tests came back that the tumour was low grade and was very unlikely to have metastasized, the mass in his mouth was benign.
I’m so relieved my big, dumb, handsome, silly, patient, and oh so loved dog is ok ❤️🐾
Wouldn’t it be great to have a dog that comes when called every single time, on or off leash, walks calmly on a loose leash, knows how to socialize respectfully with other dogs and family pets, is housebroken, doesn’t jump on people, dig in the yard, bark continuously, bite, growl or lung at people or dogs and doesn’t guard it’s food or toys.
