Tomorrow is our last day in Niamey, Niger. This little kid has spent one month in a country most kids would find out of their comfort zone. No tv, no fast food, hard climate, different customs, not knowing the language, and eating strange food. He asked questions about customs, the religion, and the people. He played with Tuareg children and was embraced by them and their parents. Teach your kids compassion, kindness and tolerance-different doesn’t mean bad. #kidtraveler#schooloftheworld#teachtolerance#niger#africatrip#canadianinafrica#niamey
Happy PRIDE Toronto! A rainbow of colours can be turned into so many patterns. Pictured are close-ups of hand woven South African bowls made from recycled telephone wire using traditional patterns. Like our community, every one is unique and beautiful! Be yourself. You are perfect as you are!
Kilimanjaro, you beautiful beast of a mountain. Thank you for all you have taught me on this journey. You were anything but easy, i cried, i laughed, i puked (ALOT)and i pushed the bounderies of what i thought i was capable of. Not a day went by that i didn't think of my sister and pain she endured on a daily basis, suffering in silence while always maintaining a smile. She was my inspiration on this adventure and the reason i was able to push myself each and everyday. We as humans are capable of so much more than we think are. #kilimanjaro#Tanzania#canadianinafrica#keepexploring#alwaysanadventure

I would rather live one day as a lion than a thousand days as a sheep. Lions within a pride, 15 or less, are often affectionate and, when resting, seem to enjoy good fellowship with lots of affections. Lions are brave and courageous. Naturally, you choose when and where to be brave vs. timid, courageous vs. cowardly and humble vs. ignorant. They don't pick fights but because they are willing to protect their food, their mates, their territory and so forth, they will fight if necessary. The question is what do we want to fight for? Bravery to find what really makes you happy. Bravery to ignore what others feel is successful and find our own success. Bravery to daring to make dramatic changes in the path of our lives that will also change our direction and growth. The lion is the king for a reason, majesty, compassionate, patient, hunters and carry themselves with "pride" (yes pun intended). Can not wait to get this guy framed up. #itgetsdeeper#imready#lifedoesntwaitforyou#lifeintanzania#learningisasolidthingtodo#canadianinafrica#tanzania#tellyourstory#enjoylife#emotionalintelligence#iliketowrite#pennyforyourthoughts#begenuine#bekind#beasyouare
As I sat yesterday to watch my beautiful cousin Amber get married, I m filled with thoughts of life in general. I had said to Drew the first night that I needed to thank him for truly changing my life.I don't know if I would have ever pushed myself enough for such a life changing experience with out him and Amber having their wedding in Africa. This trip has had so many different aspects to it as I continue to grow daily. But yesterday was everything about Andrew and Amber, two of the best people you will ever meet. They truly deserve to be happy on their adventure together. I even had some time to get words on some paper about it all. Truly blessed for the life we all have and it means the world to be a part of their day. Thank you for everything @ambmh and @drewnkini, enjoy and embrace everyday you have together. With love ❤️ #amberanddrew#nkiniwedding#tanzania#liveandlove#loveyourlife#bethechangeyouwanttoseeintheworld#myfamily#canadianinafrica#thankyou
