(Juni 1995 in Victoria, Australien)
(Juni 1995 in Victoria, Australien)

Ever since I was a little girl I’ve had a fascination with #lighthouses . I think it stems from my childhood obsession with the old film #PetesDragon , where the main characters lived inside an old #lighthouse . I remember visiting a lighthouse as a child, stairs winding up and up and up. Learning about the glass used in the giant globes, and the importance of these great sea navigation tools, who’s existence has saved many sailors from a cold salty death over the centuries. 💡🏠🌊💓 #ilovelighthouses#capeschanck
How grateful I am to be able to capture moments like this on such beautiful and sacred land. I would like to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Mornington Peninsula, the Boonwurrung’ people and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.

When shooting seascapes, if I return to my car completely dry, I have no faith the photos I captured will be any good. I love being in or as close to the water as I can safely get.
Plans for a future Great Ocean Road trip with the fam are under way.
What spot can each of you not wait to get out to?
📍 Cape Schanck- Mornington Peninsula National Park 🏞.

For my birthday weekend, I decided I had to get away for a shoot and thanks to an IG story question, managed to get a location recommendation that’s better than my original idea and company into the early hours.
It’s taken me the better part of the fortnight to process the star trails -
1) it took about 18 hours to import all the raw files into LR; then
2) for some reasons, LR and PS couldn’t open all 498 layers (it would get to about 10-15 and then just go back to the start page as if nothing got brought in). This went on for about 8 days.
Having said that, trying to figure out what is going on was a comforting (albeit frustrating) distraction from other things going on in life at the moment.
Finally saved the shots all as JPG, bundled them into folders no larger that 50 shots and then opened as stacks in PS. Not ideal but a temporary fix until I can figure out why LR and PS are pooping themselves!
Anyway, sharing with you my first star trails from the new camera from my first birthday road trip alone in 16 years. Thanks @earlblessing for the company and the D850 crash course tips! I’m still trying to get through the manual! 😆 📷: @nikonaustralia D850 | Nikkor 14-24mm f2.8
🔭: @siruiaustralia W2204 - was seriously impressive in that the tripod didn’t budge a millimetre despite the wind!
Edited in: LR, PA, Snapseed, iPhone photo edit.
cape schanck is dank! •
Breathe in some of the cleanest air in the world, gusting up from Antartica while walking another beautiful coastal view in Victoria. Mornington Peninsula is an easy hr drive south of Melbs. @peninsulahotsprings was much needed, relaxing escape from city life 🧖🏽♀️
