TATA SUMO was launched in the year 1994 with a capacity of carrying 10 people on board.Initially the car was a runaway success for the home grown car maker(Tata motors) and registered over 10 Lakh sales within 4 years of its arrival.
Tata sumo was based on Tata X2 body-on-frame platform, the Tata Sumo witnessed three updates in its life cycle including Sumo Spacio (2000), Sumo Victa (2004) and Sumo Gold (in 2011). The Sumo Gold was the last updated version of the SUV. The SUV was powered by a BS4-compliant 3.0L CR4, 4-cylinder diesel engine that’s good for 85PS and 250Nm.
