After having 3 kids I was 276 lbs and NOT happy with myself. I didn’t take as many pics and if I did I rarely shared them or took so many until I could get the ✌🏼perfect✌🏼 shot so that I got the right angle that didn’t make me look like what I saw in my reflection. •
I’m still not completely comfortable with myself. I’m human. And I have so many insecurities........that I am still working through. Even after losing 85 lbs. •
At one point it was all about being skinny......but NOW I want to be fit.
I would like to take care of the temple God have me. And not have to go through so many of the health issues I’ve seen so many in my family deal with. •
At 276 I had problems with my knees, ankles, and back. I hated feeling like I had aged myself just by being overweight. •
No one is promised tomorrow. But I would like to at least have a fighting chance in how I live my life while I’m on this earth breathing. My kids deserve a healthy mom. My husband deserves a healthy wife. And I deserve to combat ANY and ALL depression I’ve faced with some Jesus and the therapy of a good workout. I truly believe taking care of our spiritual life includes the temple we dwell in while on this earth. When we treat our body right we are honoring him.
All that being said, my journey is far from over (and it’s taking me longer than I would have liked) but I wake up everyday and keep fighting. And that’s what matters in the end.
These pictures prove that even if your diet hasn’t been perfect and you don’t always get in a workout, consistency will get you there. Even if it takes you a lil longer than other people. Everyone’s journey is different. Embrace the ups and downs! It wasn’t a perfect carnivore day.
But it was a perfect day with my family.
I love hanging out with my older boys, we always have so much fun together.
Unfortunately I feel the drag of a migraine and fibromyalgia flare creeping closer.

Y’all, I was on the struggle bus this morning! I decided I NEEDED my coffee right away so decided to brew directly in the cup. And then I walked away and forgot it... what a mess and half my coffee gone 😭 I have just been super low energy for several days and actually cursed a blue streak when my alarm went off I realized it was Friday and not Saturday 😴😑🤬 I keep hearing over and over that fat is fuel and I’ve read other ladies mentioning that they increase their fat at “that time of the month”. This is the first cycle that I haven’t eaten ALL the fatty carbs and totally blown any progress I had made. (Skipped the last one - maybe diet change; maybe weight loss; maybe menopause). So, long story longer, I realized that I needed more fat! Just chatted with @carnigraphic about eating tallow directly so grabbed what I had on hand. It was a little strong flavored for me to just eat by itself but it was SO WORTH IT! I cannot believe how quickly I started feeling so much better! Photo is makeup free because of the struggle bus but after I perked back up. Feel good again tonight!

McDonald’s burgers and some of my packet butter were a win for lunch. I was so happy they didn’t contaminate them with lettuce again!

Back again with another member of the "Raptor Squad"! This time it's @mattel_jurassic rendition of the third oldest member of the group, Attack Pack Echo! Albeit in a weird non film accurate color scheme. With a slinking gait and a mouth full of teeth ready to attack I can't help but see aspects of big cats or varanids in the models personality. For $7 I'd recommend getting Velociraptor Charlie due to her more versatile pose but for kids its yet another Velociraptor to fill up their packs.
Maybe I should give the Mercenary a break from being ripped to pieces by raptors. Nah I'm sure he'll be fine, we have good health benefits.

Can we talk for just a second about how much I love chicken hearts? I don’t mean to make my queasy insta buddies sick, but this really is a love/hate thing, and when I fell in love with chicken hearts, I didn’t know it was literally that organ that pumps blood to all the organs of a...chicken. When I realized that the human heart in my 3rd grade biology textbook bore a creepy resemblance to the “little hearts” I so adored devouring on Sunday bbqs... I cried...and wrote off chicken hearts...for about 2 weeks. Then I realized my belly speaks louder than my brain and just went right back to it. The belly > brain thing is generally something I’ve accepted, as I down tortilla chips dipped in Caesar dressing...primarily because the guacamole was spoiled 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️// Podemos parar só um minuto pra falar da minha paixão por coração de galinha? Three years ago this Christmas day, I nearly lost my life to necrotizing fasciitis (flesh eating disease). The photo on the left is the scars that remind me.
This condition happens predominantly in diabetics and those with severely compromised immune systems, usually due to poor metabolic health. I had no idea of the danger I was putting myself in.
I'm thankful that I pulled through and found a way to get my health back, and do it by eating lots of 🥩. I ate myself sick, and now I'm eating myself healthy. The photo on the right is today's meal of picanha.

Reverse sear method:
The meat rest on the top floor away from the source of heat. Getting more and more tenderness, smoke and aroma from wood chunks of used wine barrel located at the bottom of the grill close to the burners. Beneath all that goodness fresh vegetable that get the dripping of the fat with the taste of the spices. this vegetables gonna be the perfect side with special juicy taste. Just put them fresh as they are.
Use only one or two burners to stabilize the temperature around 120-140 ° C. Do not go over to 150 ° C to prevent process of searing the meat. Waiting for about two hours to reach the your internal target temperature inside the meat (use temperature probs). The For me the target temperature is about 53-54 degrees Celsius (medium-rear). the thermometers should be placed close to the bone where it is area in the steak that harder for heat penetration. At this stage let the meat a rest of 2-3 minutes and meanwhile increase the burners to the maximum heat. 2 minutes of searing on each side, another 2-3 minutes of rest and it's ready to be your perfect steak. This is one of the only ways to achieve a same cooked and color from edge to edge by using grill only.
