You know, you don't hate people for how they treated you or for whatever they did. You hate the self-betrayal of allowing yourself to be treated that way or being in that situation. The scope of your awareness is only about you.
People are complex. There are variables which you'll never know, which shaped the person they are now. Same applies for you. You are the way you are for reasons known and unknown. And hence how you feel about yourselves becomes important.
What is also important is to forgive - yourself - for everything that has happened. It is not about feeling any other way than the way you should or being okay with something you are not okay with. It is just accepting your state of mind as it is and the state of mind of others. Total acceptance. No one and nothing to blame. No guilt. No regrets. Total accountability and release of control simultaneously.
This idea of acceptance is sometimes assumed to be about idleness and indifference - accepting your fate as it is and nothing changes unless you make it happen. Just be aware if you are mixing up idleness and indifference with focused and active surrender. Be aware, how those little burdens of anger, fear, guilt and shame constantly keep you tired.
The quiet power of life force in action, unhindered by resentment, guilt and other limiting beliefs, unperturbed, free-flowing, is the greatest transformer of inner reality.
It is safe to release control.
It is safe to stop blaming and being a victim.
It is safe to stop trying so hard to fix everything.
It is safe, in fact safest, to be exactly as you are.
Can we have them all?! Who else loves black cats? 🖤They are the least adopted color of cat statistically but are as loving and amazing as any other! We always urge everyone to #adoptdontshop and as previous parents of a gorgeous black cat (who we miss dearly 🖤) here at @pawsomecouture we always stress to never ever overlook the gorgeous black ones 🖤 They are truly special! 📸 via @newkittensontheblock

Somehow this pretty kitty is already five years old
Today is technically her gotcha day but we pretend it’s her birthday. She’s happily being spoiled with catnip and naps on the dog bed. She is hand downs the most mischievous of the three - eating into multiple bags of treats and food, constantly trying to runaway, yells at you until she’s fed, and literally eats anything she can. I wouldn’t have it any other way because she also snuggles better than any animal I’ve ever owned. Happy birthday, Pretty Kitty Sloane. ✨
