Here's me 𝘗𝘳𝘰fessionally 𝘗𝘳𝘦making some 𝘏𝘢𝘯𝘥made fans in preparation for a volume full set appointment. 😂 That was a tongue twister. ⠀
There are a few different names for volume fans that are made by hand.⠀
Some techs like to call them Handmade, others like to call them Promade, and some like to call them Russian Volume.⠀
Technicians: what do you call them?⠀
Clients/followers: Which name makes the most sense to you? ⠀
I like to make approx 3/4 of what I need prior to my appointment to gain as much application time as possible. ⠀
This took 35 mins to make 148 fans. ⠀
Practising daily will ensure my speed picks up. My goal is to make 30 fans per 5 minutes. Based on today's time: I made about 20 per 5 minutes. ⠀
Your safety and health is important to me so I will be taking all precautions to ensure you are in a safe environment while receiving services. I can’t wait to see all your beautiful faces again💗💗 #barbacidecovid19course#barbacidecertified

How do you help your clients decide between Classic vs Light/Mega Volume?
When getting extensions for the very first time, many clients will opt for the first/cheapest/most natural option on your menu which typically would be classic. Often times, they are unaware between the real differences or the fact that light volume will actually appear more natural than classic. And so, it falls on the lash artist to be able to accurately explain these options. The 2 most effective methods of doing this is to 1) Have a digital look book — photos of each set + B&As of the types of sets you offer & 2) A detailed breakdown for each type of set outlining the ideal candidate and desired effect
So, let’s talk about the differences between the options & how to better guide your clients decision.
◘ 1 extension per NL — .10 to 0.18⠀
◘ Mascara look
◘ For clients who want to length/color enhancement only
◘ Does not desire any added density/definition
◘ Must have a full lash line without any gaps
◘ Ideal candidate doesn’t have extremely curly natural lashes
◘ Ideal candidate’s lashes grow more or less parallel to one another vs criss crossing over each other
◘ UP TO 5 x .05/06/.07
◘ Added density to the lash line
◘ Added definition
◘ Subtle texture
◘ Most natural yet enhanced look
◘ Lashes & softer to the touch
◘ Allows for minor corrective lashing
◘ Allows for covering of small gaps
◘ Suitable for all types of NLs
◘ UP TO 8 x .06/.07 or 10+ .03/.05 lashes⠀
◘ Significant added density
◘ Significant added definition
◘ Soft & fluffy to the touch
◘ Light+non-damaging if applied correctly for a mega volume candidate
◘ Dramatic enhancement
◘ Eyeliner effect/textured
Anyone else with me?!? Today adulting has been... well rough. Haha
I would much rather be eating a tub of homemade cookie dough but we all know that despite tough days life must go on.
So I just want to say a big thank you to all my clients for overlooking my look of death today, to my fellow lash artists for always inspiring and motivating me, to my friends and most importantly my family for having my back and making these tough days bearable.
And if anyone wants to do a drive by cookie dough drop I will accept it with open arms and mouth 😂
