Sunshine and ocean and rainbows....and a heavy heart. Trying to ground myself in my SoCal places that bring me peace. Working hard on my career...getting lost in the grind. Breathing in gratitude for my babies. Fighting hard to feel anything but numb. Sometimes we survive and that’s enough. It’s okay to step back and not be okay. Faking being okay isn’t necessary. Owning your moment of grief/pain is okay to do. 🙏❤️🌊✌️
The American Coney Island Hot Dog has been a favorite with Detroiters and visitors for nearly a century. As Detroiters have moved to other parts of the country, and as visitors have returned to their respective states, the American's reputation has spread throughout the country. Over the years, American has received countless requests from people who wanted to have the Coney Islands shipped to them - either for their own restaurants, their own consumption or for parties or special events.

Such a wicked shot from Saturday’s wedding. Tamara and Todd braves the wobbly old jetty to capture a moment overlooking the families oyster farms.

What a difference 3 weeks makes in the spinach patch! Second pic posted 3/2 and here’s today’s bounty 🎉
Spinach is such a rewarding vegetable to grow, so easy, so prolific, nutritious and delicious. The doggies regularly get a little fix mixed with their dinner, and have never been heard to complain! 🥇
They are the real heroes!

There’s something that moves me deeply when I get to capture love that’s stood the test of time. When two people have known each other forever, and continue to choose to love each other every day. Antonio and Kaley (who were high school sweethearts) left their three kids behind to celebrate 10 years of marriage in this beautiful city. The love was so palpable, it put tears in my eyes. I really loved spending the evening with this special couple! ♥️
In honor of Mardi Gras I thought I'd post a quick pic from the wedding I did in #nola back in July! Seriously one of the coolest places ever. The second line parade to close the wedding night was a blast. New Orleans did not disappoint. The food, the music, the architecture.. it was all amazing. I'd love to go back soon! Anyone need a photographer? Lol
another 10-minute @adobe fresco painting. Still working on finding my ~style~ but trying not to get too caught up in the detail and just enjoy the process of creating for fun. I thought digital art would take away the authenticity of painting with raw materials but i’m finding it to be just as therapeutic.
Posting cute pics of baby pika... is always a good idea. 🌿🤎 In our frequent visits to #tuolumnemeadows I’ve learned that— some people thought pika might be threatened or endangered because they cannot survive when the temperature rises above 70 degrees. However, as I got to learn from a naturalist who has done many studies with pika, these little guys are pretty clever and they are just going into the rocks they call home when it gets too warm. Cute AND smart (or to be more scientifically correct, adaptable). .

Beaches make my heart happy 🏝🤍 Some fun updates with life-
1. I’m attempting to learn Spanish! Something I’ve always wanted to do.
2. Will be moving out of Colorado in September 🙈 (Hint- it’s the opposite of Colorado)
3. Finalizing a trip to Iceland in June! But I just found out sunset is around 1am so that’ll be interesting 😅🏔 4. Replacing my discolored bonding on my teeth that I got years ago with veneers (because they’re stain resistant) but I’m nervous 😱
What have you guys been up to?

We’ve officially booked our honeymoon and to say that we’re excited is an understatement! Everything is beginning to feel so real, and we can hardly wait to start our forever as husband and wife! We chose a place that’s different from where most people go on a honeymoon. .
Can anyone guess where we’re going? Hint: ☀️🌵

I can’t imagine I’ll ever be bored of these beautiful city streets. 🍂☁️ Are you more of a city or country person at heart? Where would be your dream spot to live? I’m definitely more of a city person and it would be an absolute dream to spend some time living in New York ✨

This weekend consisted of zero sleep but so much learning, fun & networking! I drove to Calgary on Saturday to attend the @bronte.bride Peach by #truetohueworkshops , which was honestly an absolute dream of a workshop. From @bronte.bride’s insanely beautiful curated details, to the BOMB education and encouragement the amazing instructors (ayyy @sarahbeauphoto & @brettongrassie!!) delivered it totally exceeded my expectations & totally pushed me out of my comfort zone as a little baby photographer. ✨💫 Plus I got to meet so many other talented photography pals!
Your feeds are about to be hella blessed. 🖤
