I still remember the first time I experienced cherry blossoms in person. It was the peak of a slow spring in Boston and they only bloomed for FOUR days. They were absolutely breathtaking and smelled divine. 🤍 In my four years in that city, they never bloomed again, but they were SO beautiful for those four days and I am so glad I didn’t miss it!!
What’s your favorite flower?
When you know spring is coming 🌸
I like to take walks around the neighborhood and I’m lucky to live in a pretty green area.
Last year, I read the book Shinrin Yoku and I loved it! It explains how forest bathing or walking in nature can help you to connect with your senses and keep yourself healthier :) Have you read this book?? If don’t (and you are a plant lover), it should be on your list!
I’m sharing about this book because I really think, it can help us to understand more about our connection with nature. This is not paid post. #springiscoming#adiaryofplants#shinrinyoku#shinrinyokujoy
As cherry blossom season is rapidly drawing near, why not enjoy some traditional sakura sweets 🌸
Toraya is one of Japan's most famous wagashi brand with a history going back to the 16th century. Their Akasaka store was rebuilt with renowned architect Hiroshi Naito in charge of the design, and resulted in a stunning wooden structure which opened in late 2018.
And just in time for Valentines i uploaded a realtime narrated video of the tree of hearts to Patreon (link in bio). This could so easily be translated into a cherry blossom tree as well more suitable for Galentines maybe? .
Also you can find a timelapse on my youtube channel. Just look me up i'm as always Camilla Damsbo Art 😁
