fuck it, while i have this loaf from yesterday’s mushroom toast, i might as well chop up some fucking tomatoes, garlic and parsley, let it soak a while in some olive oil with a little salt (obviously) and stick it on some more grilled bread (which has been rubbed with some fucking raw garlic).

It’s become a tradition for me that I always take a photo of the first Tomato of the season so here it is! A beautiful Black Cherry Tomato. This is off a volunteer that popped up, is taking over and fruiting massively but this is the first to ripen. I may or may not have snapped the plant today while I was trying to tidy it up a bit and basically had to get rid of majority of it but let’s not let the truth get In the way of a good story 🙊🌿

𝗦𝗶 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗶𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝗢𝗬, 𝘁𝘂 𝗰𝘂𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗼 𝘁𝗲 𝗹𝗼 𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗮́ 𝗠𝗔𝗡̃𝗔𝗡𝗔.
Aquí les dejo una ensalada llena de color! Si tienes palta 🥑 más rico aún. La encuentran en mis destacados también.
𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐃𝐀 𝐃𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐒
Para 4 personas
6 cucharadas de aceite de oliva (o el aceite vegetal que más les guste, puede ser de girasol 🌻, de palta, etc.)
3 cucharadas de vinagre balsámico (o vinagre blanco, tinto, de arroz o de manzana, el que más les guste). 1/2 cucharadita de sal 🧂
1/4 cucharadita de pimienta
1 diente de ajo finamente picado
1/2 col morada rallada o picada finamente
1/2 lechuga Romana cortada en tiras
2 tazas de tomate cherry picado🍅
1 taza de choclo cocido
1 lata de atún en agua
1 cucharada de pimiento picado finamente
Echar todos los ingredientes del aliño en un pomo de vidrio con tapa. Tapar y agitar hasta emulsionar.
Acomodar los ingredientes en una ensaladera y echar el aliño. Servir inmediatamente.

Delicious cherry tomatoes welcoming me back after a great day at the London in Bloom awards today! Watch my stories to see all the happenings ... 😊🍅🙌🏼 These are Tumbling Tom growing in a pot and a great variety if you are new to tomatoes and have a small space. These were grown from seeds indoors in spring. Tomatoes are relatively easy to start from seeds and if you’d love to give them a try, I’ve written a step by step guide for you on my blog, link is in my profile! Best time to sow these in the UK is early in the year and I’ll give you a nudge when I start mine! 😉🌱

Barbecue Chicken Quinoa Bowls.

INGREIDENTS (Servings 4):
• 4 Thin boneless skinless chicken breasts.
• 4 tablespoons Barbecue sauce look for a low sugar variety.
• 2 tablespoons Olive oil.
• Salt and pepper to taste.
• 4 Ears of corn (OPTIONAL).
• 2 Large zucchini cut into 3/4 inch thick slices.
• Juice of 1 lime.
• 1 and 1/2 cups cherry tomatoes halved.
• 4 cups Cooked quinoa.
• Optional: cilantro leaves and lime wedges for garnish.
1. Preheat the grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat. Drizzle 1 teaspoon of olive oil over the chicken breasts and season them to taste with salt and pepper.
2. Place the chicken on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until done. Brush 1 tablespoon of barbecue sauce over each chicken breast and cook for 2 more minutes.
3. Slice the chicken and cover with foil.
4. Drizzle 2 teaspoons of olive oil over the zucchini and corn cobs. Place the vegetables on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until done.
5. Stir the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and the lime juice into the quinoa and season to taste with salt and pepper.
6. Divide the quinoa between 4 bowls and arrange the chicken and zucchini slices on top. Slice the corn off the cobs and add to the bowls, along with the cherry tomatoes. Garnish with cilantro and lime wedges if desired and serve.
