1. Flat bench- bread and butter of chest training. Unless injury prevents you, there’s no real reason you shouldn’t be doing this if building a bigger chest is your goal. I prefer barbell because I think you have more potential to lift heavier weight and it’s just my favourite exercise.
2. Incline dumbbell- greater range of motion so dumbbell wins this time. Slow and controlled to get the best benefit from this exercise.
3. Any form of chest press machine- I feel like every gym has a different variation of this. Doesn’t matter if it’s a hammer strength or a pec dec, any of them will do.
These may seem like the most basic set of chest exercises, but the basics work. If you’re strong in this 3 exercises, life would really have to suck for you to have a small chest
