Happy 4th Birthday to my special boy Ren!
When he was just 6 months, after his big surgery, the specialist vet told me he’d likely only make it to 3 years old. But look at my little 4 year old, healthier than he’s ever been!
Nothing makes me happier than seeing him happy. He’s the fastest little runner, the sweetest comforter, the sookiest mamas boy and the cheekiest little monster. I love everything about him and I can’t wait to spend all the years to come with him.
I tried my best at home-making pupcakes, they don’t look the best but they’re made with love and the pups enjoyed them 😅 after some cake, we took Ren to the local pet shops to browse and choose some presents.. he kept trying to choose things he couldn’t have haha “i want this giant bed pls dad” but settled for some cute toys.
When your dogs love their dens, you know you’ve done crate training right! I’ve become a firm believer of creating a cosy, safe space for your dog/s where no one can bother them. They don’t view their crates negatively, because their crates have never been a negative experience for them. The doors only get closed late at night when we all go to bed and the dogs sleep peacefully throughout the night. We often find that they will go in there 30-60 minutes before lights out as they’re ready for bed time. Then the doors are opened early in the morning when we wake up, and throughout the day the little ones will go in there for a snooze and out again as they please. Before, we were having issues with being woken during the night due to silly chihuahua antics.. and when we brought almost 4 year old Peanut home he had a habit of toileting inside overnight; the crates have completely eliminated both of those problems for us, all the while giving our dogs something great that we didn’t realise they needed! If you’ve ever considered the use of a crate, I say go for it. But do it correctly!! And if they’re not your thing, that’s fine too. ❤️

The smallest human of the pack (Baby Zac) and the youngest pooch of the pack (Rhapsody) eye each other up before becoming best of friends ❤️. Who said babies and chihuahuas don’t mix?! @chihuahuafanatics@dogsofinstagram
Now that all this World Cup thing has finished, can you sleep with me mom? Please? 💕☁️

We’re just back from our three hour round trip to the vee-e-tee and sad to say we still have no news. Our tiny pirate Rocco has not made leaps and bounds in his recovery and the eye still needs time to heal, if it will at all. Sorry lad but the cone has to stay. We can’t wait for the day you can remove it, eye or no eye. We know how frustrated you are not being able to eat properly or navigate around the house. The good news is that he’s adjusted well to the site loss so hopefully whatever happens won’t be too tough for him to handle. We will also be able to reduce the medication soon so he should feel a little happier. Keep going soldier, your little pack, humans and all our insta fam are behind you! Sweet dreams for now everyone - Love, the humans 🙌🏻
