Cold Spring Canyon Arch Bridge... it may not look like it from these pictures, but it is the highest arch bridge in California, standing 400 feet above the canyon floor. All beauty & smiles placed aside though, did you know that people continually choose this bridge to commit suicide off of, despite barrier fencing having been installed to try to prevent the deaths? I wish our society would implement better and more resources for people to attain proper mental health care. We should also talk about it more freely, just like any other illness like diabetes, high blood pressure. If society didn’t make it such a shameful stigma, perhaps people would be more willing to speak up to get the help they need. So here I am... telling you that if you are having issues, IT’S OK! You are not alone! Even those people you think lead happier, better lives than you can be struggling too! Your bridge to recovery has a bigger support group than you can ever imagine. And the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is also available 24/7 at ☎️ 1-800-273-8255. #suicideprevention#mentalhealthawareness#mentalhealth#loveyourself#choosehappiness#youarenotalone#supporteachother#exploremore#travelmore#stressreliever#inspire#nursesdayoff#realtalk#spreadawareness

Christmas Party Shenanigans with my Russian Spy ❤️
Just had a warm weekend simply started by a cup of coffee, watched movie, had deep & meaningful talk while occasionally singing to celebrate life. Those simple things makes me realize that we can all have big dreams and chase success, but in the end of the day, if you don't have a health in ur body, peace in ur mind and love in ur heart, then what's the point?
"Imagine that everything in your life is working for you. Of course, everything in life entails the good, the bad, the sad, the disappointments and all situations in between. On top of this, what if you believed that all of these were placed in your path as a means to help you get where you are supposed to be?
So when imagining this, would you get mad when things go wrong? When bad situations come your way, would you think to yourself, why is this happening to me? Would you be disappointed by your setbacks or perceived failures? Probably not. That’s because your perspective would have changed. You would have discovered that life does not happen to you, it happens for you.
When you have the perspective that life happens for you, you can stop battling all the things that bother you. You can accept that although things might not always go as you plan, there is always something better in store. You can breathe. You can live easier, live simpler, knowing everything is happening for your good.
Yes, taking on this mantra is probably easier said than done, but it is possible. And by doing so, you will feel free and uplifted knowing that although you might face challenges, their happening is part of a bigger plan. They’re getting you to the people and places you were already destined to encounter. Because that’s why you’re here.
Don’t fight life and don’t fight yourself for what you can’t control. Accept things and decide what you can and can’t do about it. As you do, hold on to the idea that no matter what’s going on in your life, what lies within you is greater than any obstacle, disappointment or difficulty you might be facing.
The choice is always yours....
People come and go in our lives everyday. We subtly change...or they do.....🤷🏼♀️ Visions may alter slightly and focus may become directed in other areas. .
Ultimately you have a choice of mostly how you react to people and situations.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but this image should remind you that you have a new opportunity each day. .
So regardless how things have gone in the past, make it your mission today to live out your best life. .
You don't have to go settle. Strive to be better. Do better. It's in you! Find that you!
Why do we focus on people’s bad behaviour and keep a story rolling in our head on how they should be acting differently when really these people don’t deserve one second of our mental energy?
Sorry if that sounds harsh. It might be due to the fact that it’s 2:57 pm and I’m still in bed because I’m hungover from my work Xmas party 🙈
But to be honest that question has been on my mind all week so the booze isn’t totally to blame.
Sometimes it’s our ego that thinks « I deserve to be treated better than this » and it might be right but it’s still a waste of time to try to control how someone acts when really we should direct our attention elsewhere.
I’ve tried reminding myself of this when I noticed I was getting caught up in my head and it was very helpful to step out of that negative mental loop and redirect my focus on something that actually deserves my energy.
Hope you’re having a good Saturday and don’t hesitate to shake off any of the week’s residual negative vibes with a nice bath, a walk or burning palo santo like I’m about to do. Geneviève xo

Check out the graphs on page 20-21 on the United Nations (UN) website:
It demonstrates the impact of what we put on our plates. When you think about it, doesn’t the animal agriculture industry also use transportation? Buildings? Electricity and heat? Other energy? Were these statistics included in the 24%? What about the fishing industry? Where are the statistics (from a reputable and incorruptible source) for this industry? Our oceans do not appear to be in good shape at present. I’ve experienced this first-hand whilst diving through the years in some areas of the world. The Great Barrier Reef wasn’t looking too flash along the coastline when I dived there in 2009.
“Worldwide, the top 5 meat and dairy corporations emit more greenhouse gas emissions than Exxon, Shell, or BP.”
We still need to care about fossil fuels. It all adds up and counts. Why not strive towards a perfect environment? Nevertheless, this (again) demonstrates the importance of what we choose to eat.
The above piece of information also came from the UN website:

This holiday season, I'm all about doing less...but family photos will always make the cut. #ad
Photos are our memories. And these are extra special and particularly bittersweet because Alexis is heading off to college next fall. 😭 This year we headed to @JCPenney to pick out head-to-toe winter looks for the whole family, all in one place. #AllAtJCP Talk about a time saver!
‘Cause seriously, figuring out what we’re all going to wear is one of the hardest parts. This year we went for a winter navy vibe (with some non-traditional pops of color for fun). Check out my stories today for the play by play on our outfits and to watch me flex my flatlay skills.
We’re spreading a little holiday cheer and giving away a $100 JCPenney gift card! To enter, comment down below and:

This! I can't even begin to say how close to home this hit for me.
I love this community, the tips, and the laughs. And most days, it's quite literally the only socializing I get. But sometimes, mindless scrolling is all I can manage. Whether it's the fatigue or mental fog, sometimes I'm just not able to socialize or respond to messages. Its definitely not personal, it's just not possible.
So next time you see someone physically online, try to remember that it doesn't necessarily mean they are able to engage directly. And that's my random food for thought on this Wednesday. ❤
