You need to make a conscious decision to stop yourself when you start thinking negatively. Separate your past experiences or history with the situation and look at the facts. Remembering that our thoughts control what we do and what we do affects our emotions. “See the positive side, the potential, and make an effort.” This very famous quote is from the Dalai Lama and it illustrates how you have to make a choice to be positive. It also identifies that choosing the positive side isn’t always the easy option. It takes effort.
To help you learn positivity I have put together a list of the top tips for staying positive.

1. Smile. Even when you don’t feel like smiling... SMILE!
2. Rephrase your thoughts. When they start turning negative, take a moment to turn them around and make them positive.
3. Help Someone. This positive act will make you feel good!
4. Accept Responsibility. Don’t play the victim in your own life. These are your decisions and change them if you don’t like the situation.
5. Be mindful, stay curious and choose to project more love, light and peace into the world 🧡

Ingredients (for 2 servings)
FOR THE BASE
¼ cup fresh spinach (50 g)
⅓ cup natural yogurt (75 g)
⅓ cup coconut water (75 mg)
1 tablespoon honey
raspberry, to taste
2 tablespoons desiccated coconut, to taste
hazelnut, to taste
sunflower seed, to taste
blueberry, to taste
yogurt, to taste
Throw all of the ‘base’ ingredients into a blender and whizz until smooth.
NOTE: You can adapt this entire recipe as much or as little as you like, we chose to make one that looks super green with a somewhat neutral taste to let the toppings bring out the flavor.
Pour the smoothie into a bowl, and top with your favorite toppings. Our suggested toppings are just that too, suggestions - be as creative as you like here - pecans, flax seeds, sliced peaches - whatever you like. Make a cool design too!

2 T of maple syrup.
1 tsp of chia seeds.
1 cup of oat milk.
2 T of plant based yogurt.
Stir together and leave overnight or for at least an hour. .

38 weeks and nesting anxiety kicked..
Looking around, I am realizing there is more work that needs to be finished before our sweet girls arrival. The last 3 weeks it’s been a hard test for our personal growth. As I am learning to ask for help and not feel guilty I’m also learning to trust and rely on hubby even more. Andrew is doing a great job taking care of all of mine and his responsibilities, supporting and staying calm. These hormones are no joke, oils, supplements and Jesus are the only thing keeping me sane.
Through this time I am doing my best to stay positive and think of all the wonderful outcomes of the next two weeks. We will be moving into our own space, life will feel a little more controllable having our things back out of storage. Baby girl will born in a safe and happy home, God willing, with the best team and support from our midwife and doula.
It’s summertime and most fruits are available for my consumption. We are buying the last of our babes must needed supplies and my Young Living ER order is coming in this upcoming week. I can be back on track with all my routines.
I can’t believe she will be here in less than 2 weeks! 🍉🍑🥝🍇🍋🥥🍊

She’s so tiny and wonderful. I’m so lumpy and thrilled.
2020 has been pretty insane- a recap isn’t necessary at this point. You know what’s necessary? Self-care- PERIODT.
Like many, we’ve had some major losses in 2020. We’re incredibly grateful for the friends & family who went out of their way to be by our side.
And so, I took 5 glorious days off with my man because I deserve it! (And so do you..)Tarik & I took the time to celebrate wins ($40K+ raised for his nonprofit + my most profitable month to date with @sunkissorganics).
It was also an extended celebration of our anniversary & my 31st birthday- cause why not?! What does Selfcare look like for you?
