Coming back to this session because this location was wayyy too amazing for the setting we wanted to share! Love the tones, the colors, and the model! Perfect choices all around and I couldn’t love it more ❤️❤️
The hubs and I took off on a day trip today to celebrate my upcoming big birthday. (On Sunday, I’m turning 29 again...🙈🤫) We went sooooo many places in Yellow Springs. I’ll share some photos over the next few days in case you’re wanting to make a trip to the area! First up, is Clifton Mill. (They do a huge light show for the holidays, they were putting out lights today, but I’ve never been) There’s lots of cute photo op places, a gift shop & a restaurant. Heed my warning, the pancakes are massive. I literally just laughed when I saw how big they were. 🥞 It was a fun little stop on our list. I definitely think we’ll be heading back for Christmas time! .

Have you ever heard of @historiccliftonmill? Until about two weeks ago, I never had. But it’s such a cool building! Clifton Mill is located in Clifton, a tiny town just outside of Yellow Springs. Inside the former mill, there’s a general store that sells kitchen items, decorations, signs and dry mixes like cornmeal and pancake mix. In addition, you can have breakfast or lunch at the restaurant, with the old mill right outside the window. Once Christmastime rolls around, the mill is covered with 100,000 lights and light shows are done nightly. .
DISTANCE: Less than an hour from Columbus (53 miles)
WHERE: Clifton, OH (outside of Yellow Springs)
COST: Free to visit; meals and trinkets from the general store will cost you less than $50
TIME SPENT THERE: This would be a good day trip; you can stay at the mill for 5 minutes or 2 hours depending on what all you do. If you’re there during the Christmas season, you’ll want to spend more time there. #daytripscbus

Family hiking trip in beautiful Ohio! 🌳
We hiked all the Glen Helen trails and nagivated Clifton Gorge. Lunch was delicious at the historical Clifton Mill.
If you're considering hiking with a two-year-old I highly suggest the carrier and harness! We couldn't have spent an entire day hiking without both of them. The harness kept Emmett safe as we walked along steep sides and helped him navigate the rough terrain without falling. The carrier was perfect when he needed a nap and when we wanted to walk faster than a two-year-olds pace.😀
I went to Clifton Mill to get a shot and thought I would get something original. When I arrived, I quickly realized why every photo I saw online looked like this one. It’s because you can’t get one from anywhere else, because you can’t go down to the water’s edge. Traffic is restricted, so you have to shoot this shot from the covered bridge. You also have to shoot it through the louvered windows, so it can be a challenge. Anyway, here’s my version of historic Clifton Mill. #cliftonmill#waterfallsofohio#cliftongorge#oldmill
We crossed off not one - but two - places on our summer bucket list today: Clifton Mill and Young’s Dairy Farm (more on Young’s later🐄). For those of y’all who don’t know me, there are few things in this world that I love more than historic towns, historic homes and rusty stuff- so Clifton Mill was a tiny heaven for me. This darling town (only an hour from Grove City) boasts all sorts of old timey charm😍 and a little restaurant we checked out for lunch that overlooks the Little Miami River. Clifton Mill has the huge Christmas display every year with millions of lights. Maybe I need to start a winter bucket list so I can add that to it!🎄 •
Now who on God's Green Earth say we can't celebrate Christmas in July?!!!!! Don't you just dig this lovely, Christmas-decorated view of the Clifton Mill in Clifton, Ohio?!!!!! This scene is as marvelous as @arthurgphotography -- the one who captured this heartwarming piece!!!!!
You can’t see it, but they were wearing their magic faces here. And watching those magic faces made ME wear a magic face. So, magic and wonderment all around tonight. . #CliftonMill#LightDisplay#ChildlikeWonder
This is what 3.5 million lights look like. @tevi23 captured this at Clifton Mill, near Yellow Springs. For 28 years they've been celebrating the season with this elaborate light display that covers the mill, gorge, bridges and trees at Clifton Mill. They're open nightly through December 31st. Admission is $10 for ages 7 and up (6 and under free). Add this to the bucket list.
Thanks for sharing, @tevi23! #myohioadventure
