Finally got this today and played a game today. If you like Clue than you'll probably like this one. It is so freaking cool! There are 243 cards but you take 70 specific cards to make a case deck. All the information on the cards will lead to a suspect, motive, and weapon. There are close to 40 cases in the rulebook to play and they have an app with dozens more. You track all the information on your player sheets, trade cards with the other players, and try to figure it out before the other players. It was fantastic! #gamenight#awkwardguests#clue#murder#detective#whodunnit#deduction#gameday#tabletop#bgg#suspect#motive#weapon#wonderful
So I'm making this to hang on my wall. Should I add the cards to the middle? I'm not too sure about it. I like it without them, but it seems kinda wrong to leave them out? I can always just put them in the clue card sleeve? I dunno...

Movie Review: Clue
Movies based on board games seem like a weird idea, in general. Most board games are pretty bare bones, if we're being honest. The bulk of the entertainment usually comes from the people you play with, so deciding to take them and make movies out of them is just sort of odd. That being said, Clue found a way to make it all enjoyable. Granted, if any board game were to work as a movie, it would be Clue. I mean, it's a murder mystery game, and there are plenty of murder mystery movies. Then again, Clue is a pretty blank slate for a murder mystery, given that the correct solution is different every time. So, what do you do with it? Let loose and have fun, that's what. Various characters from the board game, now fleshed out instead of simply being pictures with names, are brought together under one roof, and must figure out what's going on when someone suddenly dies, and no one is quite sure how or by whom. The movie sort of reminded me of Ghostbusters, out of all things. It has a lot of blink and your miss it jokes, so to speak. Of course, the jokes are all delivered verbally, and many are simply frank responses to another character, but hopefully you get what I mean. I will say that I'm conflicted with the way the movie ends, however. I won't spoil it, for those that don't know, but while it feels in line with the tone and nature of the rest of the movie, I also feel like it somewhat undermines, well, the rest of the movie. I was entertained and enjoyed the ending, but I also felt a bit unsatisfied, but I also really liked it. So take that as you will, I suppose. There's not a ton else I can really say about the movie. I had some fun with it, but I wasn't blown away or anything. I'd say it's good, but not necessarily remarkable in any way, which isn't a bad thing, obviously. I don't know where I'm going with this. Maybe I'm the one who needs a clue.
Clue gets a 7.25/10 (Good)
