Missing the park 🥺 Here’s a throwback for now. Go away coronaaa! 😷💩
So far I’m loving my first ever holiday with Mum and Dad 🥰 We’re spending the weekend at Port Hughes. There’s so many new dogs for me to meet, holes for me to dig on the beach and seaweed to play in 🌊 ☀️ 🐶
Friends, we have a surgery date!!
We spoke to our orthopedic surgeon today and we finally have some good news 🌟🌟🌟
X-rays show that ralphies femur bones are straight which means he doesn't need metal plates ! Cue happy dance!! Xrays also showed that hips are fine which is amazing news.
Ralphie's patellas are in pretty bad shape and his tibial anchor is off centre so will need realigning but overall we are happy!
Ankles will need intensive physiotherapy and hydrotherapy to prevent long term damage and ralphie will need to wear little shoes that stop his ankles hyper extending but this should delay the need for further surgery to his ankles for a few years!
Surgery on Ralphie's right leg is booked for 17th August and then his full recovery will take between 8-12 weeks before he can have surgery on his left leg. Surgeon is pretty optimistic Ralphie will recover well being so young 💙
We were told some pretty worrying news that there is a 20% chance that his condition could return resulting in more surgery, but today we are only focusing on the positives 🌟
We have also requested our xrays so we can show you guys what's going on!
