Having breakfast with Mount Inerie in the background. Inerie is a stratovolcano - it is the highest volcano on the island of Flores towering 2,245 meters. Its last eruption was 8050 BCE. The volcano is not active but there is reports of smoke emerging from the crater in June 1911.

My loyal companion for a week road trip in Flores - a 150cc motorbike. This was taken on my way from Ende to Kelimutu Lake. The view during the ride was so amazing, I had to stop (waaaay too) many times. #throwback to the first week of January when I went on a road trip.
The three colored lakes of Kelimutu in Flores island. I was a bit nervous that the lakes would be covered in clouds as it usually does late in the day but I was lucky to be here in the afternoon and have the lakes all cleared up. .
This lake is located 1.639 meters above sea levels. Lake colors change periodically due to adjustments in the oxidation-reduction status of the fluid of each lake and also considering the abundance of different major elements, such as iron and manganese. Oxidation-reduction status depends on the balance of volcanic gas input and rainfall rate and is thought to be mediated by the groundwater system in the volcano itself. .
Throwback to the first week of January when I went on a motorbike road trip from Labuan Bajo all the way to Maumere for 1 week (560 kilometers).
