Kafe Neo in Totowa is an underrated coffee shop located in a shopping center. I’m always hesitant to trust a place that is in a busy intersection but the coffee is delicious! They have a friendly staff that are waiting to greet you when you walk in. They offer a variety of coffee options and pretty affordable too for a basic coffee (about $3). Kafe Neo has nice outside seating and a cute atmosphere inside but if you want to just order coffee, I would say to take it to go. A lot of people sit and have breakfast because they are known for their crepes so I feel the waiters would be annoyed if you sat at a table and just ordered a drink. I would recommend this place for a good quality coffee to go! #mylilcupofjoe#coffee#coffeenjoy#coffeeloversclub#sundaymorning#kafeneo#njcoffee

Too much joy for one sunny Sunday! #littlefitzroy
Hiding away from the sun. This is probably my favourite café in Malacca. It’s situated right smack in the centre of the busiest part of town, yet it’s so cosy and the music playing in the background really does transport you to somewhere in the ‘80s. Which is really cool. Oh and if you’re lucky, you get to see the owner roasting coffee beans right in front of you.
Even scaled you were a beast. ⠀
After 3 months of not being able to hang due to a shoulder injury... meaning my grip strength went to poop... ⠀
I’m D A M N proud of the reps I completed today! ⠀
Let me be clear, this is DEFINITELY prepping me for @amoila_cesar new program! Just gotta finish up #mm100 first! I saw what’s coming up next year and I am STOKED to do them all!!! Barre & boxing?? HELL YES!⠀
Did you get your sweat sesh in already? Mine was a nonnegotiable because tonight is girls night soooo yes—gotta get the work in first before the fun!!
Where are my fellow cold brew fans at? ✋ In honor of National Coffee Day this Sunday, I think we need to do a deep dive into my favorite drink of all time.
To anyone new to the coffee game, the most important thing to note is that cold brew is NOT the same as iced coffee. Iced coffee is regular coffee that is brewed hot and then either poured directly over ice or chilled. Cold brew is brewed by steeping coffee in water for a long period of time and never touches hot water.
Cold brew has a smoother and less acidic taste than hot coffee. If you experience acid reflux from coffee, cold brew might be the move to make! Plus, since it’s smoother and slightly sweeter, you don’t need to load it up with extra sweeteners.
It can be expensive because it takes almost a day to brew (plus more coffee grounds than hot coffee), so it might be worthwhile to look into making your own at home to save some dollars.
I like to make a cold brew concentrate, which means you just add a little bit to a cup and then cut it with water or milk. Making a concentrate allows you to store more in the fridge without needing a giant pitcher!
Want the formula for perfect cold brew concentrate every time? Here it is! Steep 10oz of coarse ground coffee in 40oz of water (5 cups) at room temperature for 16 hours. Strain out the coffee, add to the fridge, and BOOM, you have a perfect concentrate! You’ll get about 3 cups worth of concentrate out of the deal, which ends up being around 12 cups of coffee.
One more note on cold brew- longer steeping does NOT lead to more caffeine. Most the caffeine will be extracted in the first few hours of brewing, so you won’t be doing yourself any favors by letting it brew for 24+ hours.
Let me set the record straight- coffee is amazing in any form. But as a self-proclaimed cold brew snob, I feel it is very important to remind you that cold brew and iced coffee are NOT the same thing.⠀

Iced coffee is simply regular coffee poured over ice. It can be drip, pour over, french press, whatever! It’s incredibly easy to make, since you simply need to add ice, but I do have a few issues with iced coffee.⠀
When lots of coffee shops serve you iced coffee, they simply pour hot coffee directly over ice, resulting in watered down coffee. Or worse, a ton of places will refrigerate unsold coffee and serve is it as iced coffee the following day. Blech.⠀
My other issue with iced coffee is that it’s more expensive that regular coffee. When all is said and done, you’re actually getting less coffee than when you order it hot because of all of the ice. Pretty sure there’s a major conspiracy there.⠀
Onto my baby, cold brew. More than just a fad, it is truly the best coffee in my opinion. Cold brew is made by steeping ground coffee in water for up to 24 hours (but 16 hours is the sweet spot). By slowly steeping the coffee, you actually remove all of the acidity and bitterness of regular coffee. The result is a smooth, bold, and slightly sweet flavor. Plus, the extra strength of cold brew is the perfect afternoon pick-up on a hot summer day.⠀
It makes sense that cold brew is expensive- not only is it very time consuming to make (even though you can set it and forget it) it also requires much more coffee grounds to produce than hot coffee.⠀
The moral of this story is that while cold brew and iced coffee are different, they’re both still coffee. And coffee is amazing. Always.⠀

What a cool idea to make the beach clean!
With my family we usually go to the same place (beach) every year, but lately, in the last few years we saw more and more plastic waste racking up... 😔
I encourage every cafe to have some kind of a deal like this!😊👌♻️☕ @swingbridgecafe
