Even though our program has many opportunities to travel such as our field trips and free time for students, there is still the academic side to our program. We always try to offer interesting and unique classes with amazing faculty to teach them. That's what college abroad is all about!

ONE MORE DAY UNTIL MOVE - IN
Tomorrow’s the big day — I move to Boston for grad school. I’m nervous. I’m excited. I’m anxious. I’m grateful. Starting a new journey will be good for me. I decided to create a blog to document my journey in grad school (the link is in my bio, please follow! I’ll have a post up on Sunday).
For the longest time my goal has been to help others. That’s why I was a psychology major in undergrad. That’s why I’m going into higher education now. I had a really hard time my first year of college. I struggled with severe depression and nearly took my own life. But I’m getting a degree in the field of higher education so that no student has to feel the way I felt in 2017. I want to be to someone else what I needed when I was 19.
So that’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to help others. I’m going to write about my time as a freshman in college, eventually, giving context so that students know they aren’t alone in their loneliness.
OPINION: Summer 2020 left some time for reflection, especially for our recent graduates who finished their college careers during COVID 19. 2020 CEBS graduate and current South Warren Spanish teacher, Erika Clark, sounds off in our inaugural CEBS blog post and tells us why WKU is the best choice for college in the midst of a pandemic. Access the piece in our bio. #SummerinReview

⚡️Unpopular Premed Truth #1 ️⃣ - You will rarely be at 100%, let alone above 70%, and that’s okay. But you need to learn to take care of yourself.

Always a blast training with like-minded individuals who push themselves and leave no stone unturned. 💯

עם כל הבלאגן והמצב הלא ידוע צריך לפעמים לעצור רק לרגע, להסתכל על מה שיש, להבין שגם זה לא מובן מאליו ופשוט להגיד תודה♥️

I tried starting this degree 3 years ago when Angelisa was just a baby. I felt I needed to be there so I decided to wait for her to be a little older, but I was starting to let time pass me by. I doubted myself because I didn’t know if I could handle all the assignments, work, motherhood, and everything life brings. There was times I felt guilty doing homework because Angelisa wanted to play with me. Many times I stopped typing and played with her, once she was asleep I would continue typing until 1-2 am. Then wake up and go to work next day. I almost quit because it was a fast paced hybrid program, but I had support from my family and they pushed me to keep going. I also felt like I was going to let myself and my daughter down if I quit.
I’m not perfect, but I want to be more. I want her to grow up watching mommy put in work for what she wants. I want to motivate her to follow her dreams, but also teach her that it’s up to her to make it happen. No matter what I’ll always be there along the way to guide her as much as I can. 💕

HOW I STAY PRODUCTIVE @ HOME
☑️ Set an alarm for the same time every morning
☑️ Make my bed
☑️ Change out of my PJs and into an outfit I would wear to school/work
☑️ Write a to-do list for everything I want to accomplish, it can be as simple as “brew coffee” or “complete 20 Physics questions”
I’ve been doing my best to do these 4 things every day and it has made a HUGE difference in my productivity, especially since my bedroom has become my study nook this summer🥴 I bullet point all the content/questions I need to complete each day and try to make my to-do list as realistic as possible. Start with a few things & add-on throughout the day!
