I’m not saying that having self confidence will give you a perfect life, but it will give you the tool set you need to protect yourself from living a shitty life where you constantly look down upon yourself.
The first step of gaining self confidence is to realize that the whole world is set up to tear you down. Once you realize that you can proactively take steps to avoid letting it make you feel like you’re inadequate and it’s a lot easier to “write off” the feeling of inadequacy that it gives you.
December Drawing Challenge Day 4 - "Ascending BIG-Mo Mountain"
I am very fascinated by the idea of momentum. If we do the same thing over and over again it gets easier and easier to do over time. If we are not careful this can be to our detriment, but if we are careful this can lead to BIG progress and BIG-Mo". BIG-Mo is a concept talked about in a book called "The Compound Effect" that I finished reading a few months ago. The idea is that if you are consistent with your habits and goals, through thick and thin, you'll eventually get BIG-MO's attention which will boost your growth tremendously.
This is because your behavior has mostly become automatic, so your brain can focus on other things, like self-improvement and serving others. Thus you're able to pick up the speed and consistently keep climbing towards your dreams. Obstacles are a part of life, and our momentum is defined by how we respond to those.
One of the things we sometimes struggle most with from day to day is knowing what decision to make, or what assignment to tackle first. We worry about being able to finish a task, and our indecision wastes tons of time. Lately I've been feeling this a lot.
[unbezahlte Werbung,Marken erkennbar] Hallo Community, Hallo Freunde und Studierende! So nachdem ich mein neues schönes Buch gelesen habe habe ich doch noch heute angefangen etwas zu lernen🙈😅😄. Was macht Ihr schönes?
Wie sind eure Lernzeiten, seit Ihr Nachteulen oder lernt Ihr lieber den Tag über? Über eure Kommentare / Tipps und Anregungen würde ich mich freuen .
🏃🏻♀️ Had the opportunity to work with the famous @darrelwg this week to tweak my running form. ☺️🙌🏻🙏🏻
Things are feeling good and I’m excited to get back to training for my half 👊🏻
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Things I’ve learned during this process:
There is no one-size fits all.
Through evaluation I found objective limitations in my muscle strength, extensibility, and joint mobility (most notably L hip)
I had some less-than-efficient running mechanics — probably compensatory for the previously-mentioned limitations (making up for hip deficits with a forward trunk lean/ asymmetric rotation at the spine)
And, as a novice runner, I had some programming flaws (un-intelligent ramp-up periods, lack of tempo runs, etc)
I now have some solid things to work on that address my long-term goal of running a half! Thanks to those of you who reached out via DM and had some great discussions with me about this process, it was greatly appreciated ☺️🙌🏻
3. While I was trying to figure out what to do with the very obvious sign from something much bigger than I am, I kept getting what my friend and I refer to as Destiny/ Fate (whatever you want to call it) literally screaming at me. He and I were paired together, randomly, to work on a project together, something I had a gut feeling would happen. I already knew what his topic was that he was discussing before he verbally said anything. ***More to come*** DMs are open for anyone who wants to submit weird dream things. My goal is to connect people who also have weird dreams they can't explain or fate like things happen to them. I promise you will remain anonymous. Just like I hope to remain anonymous. #dreams#sncart#snc#college#destiny#drawing#art#fate#stories#precognitivedreams

Today's College Spotlight is on the Georgia Institute of Technology, better known as Georgia Tech. Located in the middle of Atlanta, Tech offers a first class education within a stones throw of many major corporate headquarters like Coca Cola, Home Depot and more. Despite being an urban location, Georgia Tech gives it's students the feel of a traditional college campus. Once inside the bounds of Tech, you almost could forget you are in a major city because of all the green space.
Georgia Tech rankings: #5 US News Overall Public University #29 US News Overall University #4 US News Best Undergraduate Engineering Program #22 US News Best Undergraduate Business Program
They also have multiple accolades for their graduate programs
For Georgia residents, if you can get in to this highly competitive school, it is a value no brainier. Most in state students qualify for the lottery sponsored Zell Miller How Grant which covers 100% tuition. However without scholarships the pricing is
In-State Tuition: $10,258
Out of State Tuition: $31,370
Getting in to Georgia Tech is pretty tough, especially for out of state and international students. Tech prides itself on its holistic approach to admissions which means they don't just want top grades and test scores, they want students who go above and beyond outside the classroom too. They look for leaders, innovators, and philanthropists who take their knowledge and bring it to the the world around them. *Acceptance Rate: 18.8% * In State Acceptance: 37.7% * Out of State Acceptance: 14.9% *Average GPA:. 4.02 *Average Test Scores *SAT: 1295 *ACT: 32 SAT Subject Tests not required but they like to see them.
And it's not too late to apply. Regular admission applications are still being reviewed until January 6th through the Common App or Coalition App.

EGGPLANT PIZZA!! 🍆 🍕 ——————————
this has been my go to meal for a while now, because its so quick n easy and satisfying! I was craving pizza and melty cheese so this eggplant pizza was the lazy college student answer to my prayers~~ the cheese was so melty and the toppings were pretty flavorful wOo
. #dEATS : ☆ drizzled olive oil on top of 2 slices of eggplant and chucked it in oven @ 425F till soft ☆ meanwhile, i cook the sauce with @raoshomemade marinara sauce and whatever I have on hand: this day was ground sausage with onions, mushrooms, and spinach, but I also do beans+corn+kale+tomatoes seasoned with garlic powder, onion powder, and nooch! ☆ once i’m done w the sauce, the eggplant is usually ready so i put cheese on top and then put the tomato sauce mixture on top of the cheese and let the residual heat from the eggplant and sauce to melt the cheese <33

Gonna be trying something a little new 📚✨
A little while ago I was watching a youtube video from @medschoolinsiders that suggested reading up on subjects before you take them. I will be taking Genetics and Physics next semester so I bought some used textbooks/prep books from Goodwill to read through over my winter break ☃️
Goodwill has half off Saturdays every other week for anyone who didn’t know!💸
If anyone has tried this or has any suggestions, let me know in the comments! I will keep you guys updated if this really helps or not.
As always, have a wonderful Saturday 💕

🎄Study tips for finals 🎄
⭐️ Memory = sleep, so make sure you get at least 7 hours of sleep every night ⭐️ Delete social media apps from your phone (I actually downloaded instagram again just to share this post and I’ll delete it right after) 😛 ⭐️ Make sure you eat enough and nutritious food for your brain! ⭐️ make sure to have real breaks, watch a tv show/movie or go eat with a friend or just take a walk outside, you’ll feel even better when you start studying again!! ⭐️ If you’re feeling low, change your plans and study lighter topics, keep the hardest ones for your productivity peak ⭐️ Study with a friend! You can quizz each other about different topics and it makes everything easier to learn and clearer ⭐️ Study similar topics the same day so you can see more clearly the links in between! ⭐️ Take care of yourself physically AND mentally. Don’t push yourself too far and don’t feel bad for not completing all your tasks. Do your best and keep days to catch up on your delay.
Good luck to everyone who’s facing finals right now!! We’re almost done!!!! 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

What kind of break should I take when I study without losing motivation? How can I take a break without getting distracted? Here are the different types of study breaks for every situation:
1.) If you realize that you’ve been studying for hours: Get a snack, watch a short episode of your favorite show on Netflix, then back to the books.
2.) If you feel stressed: Pause. Take a deep breath. Send a message to a friend. Get yourself together, then try again.
3.) If you’re unable to focus: Go out for a walk and get some exercise. Do something productive- change your sheets, take a shower, clean the kitchen. It will reframe your mind and get you focused again.
4.) If life’s drama can’t seem to get out of your mind: Write it down. What’s bothering you? Journal. Try and gain some new perspective after putting it on paper.
5.) If you’re exhausted: Set your alarm for 30 mins and take a nap. When you wake up make some tea or coffee and start again.
6.) If the material you’re studying is ridiculously boring: Study differently. Youtube the subject, draw it out, make it fun, add some color to your notes.
7.) If the people around you won’t shut up: Put on your headphones and listen to music or white noise. Anything without lyrics to block out the sound around you.
8.) If you’re only understanding half of the concept: Call someone who is not in your class (or pretend) and try and teach them the material. Teach them everything you know. This will help your mind work through it and it’ll help you remember the material for the exam.
I hope this helps you on all of your studying endeavors!
