I’ve been away from social media to focus on wrapping up this year and starting the next wedding year with you all but I am back to normal posting!! Wedding season doesn’t really stop in Florida until summer time but I took a little time off to see the beautiful winter wonderland that’s happening in Colorado! I honestly wouldn’t mind spending winter season here every year 😍
In the wake of my recent move, I’ve been feeling reluctant about opening up on my thoughts and feelings (all that come with a cross country move I’m sure), but I’ve come to realize that maybe it will be good for me to put my thoughts out there into the universe.
Moving to South Dakota was a very hard move for me. At the beginning, I dragged my feet a lot. The mountains became my home, my refuge and leaving that was a extremely hard decision to make. I had the occasional ‘what if I don’t move at all’ thought whirling through my mind. I often cried, a lot. I distanced myself and made myself a hermit for awhile, BUT I was optimistic that it was only a phase and once I met some people, things would get better and they did with time.
Sioux Falls, South Dakota was a very humbling and trying time for myself. One that I often feel ashamed about admitting to myself and others. But, it happened for a reason like all things in life. And now, looking back I feel stronger as I close that chapter and open a new one back in the place I’ve considered home all along.
