Peggy's Cove: aka the perfect spot in Canada to shoot your new album cover.
This quaint fishing village is said to have been named after a sole shipwreck survivor in the 18th century? Local legends aside, this hidden gem is loved for its hiking trails, kayaking adventures, whale watching, and pristine beaches.
Count us in.
One year ago, I was spending my last full day in Scotland. From Oban we headed towards Glasgow, making stops in Stirling, to see the castle and monument to William Wallace (you know, from the movie "Braveheart," even though "Braveheart" was the nickname of Robert the Bruce), and in Glencoe. When we arrived in Glasgow we had a bit of extra time, so we stopped to check out the Glasgow Cathedral. I had been to Glasgow once before but had not seen the cathedral. It was quite impressive. Here’s an exterior shot of it. Because myself and a few other travelers were parting with the group the next morning, we had to do some paperwork when we got to the hotel, leaving me with almost no time to poke around the city before dinner, so I (nearly) ran down to George Square to try to grab a few photos (I really only ended up with one good shot that I shared last autumn). We had one nice last night as a group, which included more haggis, before an early morning train ride back to London and the last few days of my big 10-week adventure.

Story time ✨
The day after my 21st birthday I got on a flight by myself to Thailand for a Contiki tour across Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. This was a huge thing for me as flying terrifies me 99% of the time, and the thought of going alone was pretty daunting too. This trip ended up being one of the best months of my life. I made some amazing friends from the other side of the world, who I’ve met up with in several countries since, and visited some of the most incredible places. It also led to my decision to move to Thailand as I completely fell in love with Asia.
I’ve been thinking today how decisions that don’t seem that significant at the time can become such important parts of your life without you realising. I never would have thought that a months holiday in Asia would have led me to move my life half way across the world 18 months later. But here we are! Life’s a funny one, hey.
