I think its going to brightening up this evening so hopefully we can get a nice walk in! 📣Some exciting news!!! Im finally doing a GIVEAWAY to celebrate my 15k followers! It will be live tomorrow morning so watch this space!! .
Morning all! Thank you for your well wishes yesterday. I’m pleased to say that the pesky migraine has gone... for now. But I can feel that it’s going to explode at any minute given half the chance. 🤞🏼 crosses it buggers off!
Anyway, enough moaning 😃 what a beautiful sunny morning here in Kent, although the wind is almost gale force! What are your plans today?
I’m going to see my bestie for a natter in a bit and then I guess we’ll see where the day takes us!
Walking right out of Charlotte Cottage, you'll find St Leonard's Church, a beautiful Grade 1 listed building dating back to the 13th Century. Usually you can hear the church bells but they have been silent since March this year.
We know the bell ringers can't wait to get back when it's safe, and we can't wait to hear them!
Thank you to those who have visited already, 2 meter distancing & disposable gloves on hand 😁 Newly updated website shows currently available stock See website link in bio. 1 Church Street Condover SY5 7AA

Happy Saturday and a big hello to lots of new followers. What are your weekend plans?
You know that repeated movie scene where a guest goes into the medicine cabinet of a host’s bathroom, all nosey, prying through the prescriptions and such? I kinda have that hide-the-medicine-cabinet feeling as guests come into my home and see this cabinet. All the personal business I don’t mind anyone seeing - photos of my family AND EVEN frames that still have the stock photos in them - easy to see. Favorite books and fabrics and “what nots” at eye level. But the personal books I’ve read or ones that are so important to my spiritual, physical, and emotional growth - bible commentaries, books on nutrition, books on overcoming anxiety - those I keep way down low so that their spines are hard to read. And that’s okay, because that’s my business. Big grins. 😉
But some not-so-pretty parts of me, I’m learning, are just as important to share as the pretty ones. As a follower of Jesus, I know that there is nothing naturally good in me. The Bible tells me that even my best offerings I bring to Him of myself are as filthy rags in the light of His perfection. And yet, He completely takes all of me, just the way I am...loving me too much to leave me that way.
I’m thankful for the filthy rags that assure me of my indescribable, unspeakable, immeasurable NEED for Him. I’m thankful that I am covered by the blood He shed for me that made me completely His, that holds no need for my filthy ragged offerings. I’m thankful that His mercies are new every morning, and I’m desperate to be that same mercy-giver.
Happy Friday, Y’all! It’s the weekend! And sweet Lolli, who never gets to be in pictures, greets you too! Sweet sugar got to have her picture taken!
I loved making this linen apple and pear. I can sense that a few more will follow in different fabrics. Thought they looked nice sitting in this wooden tray which was a charity shop find and upcycled in Antique White.
BACK OPEN with new stock - sustainable furniture, sanded, painted & embellished during lockdown. So blessed to have not been idle; hoping this & all other small businesses survive...
Take a look 👀 link in bio. Thank you 🌍 💫
Last night we let the kids stay up way past bedtime to catch lightning bugs in the yard ✨... Joe and I could have sat on the porch and watched them for hours. These little moments I will cherish forever ... these are the exact memories I envisioned making from our front porch when we purchased our house almost eight years ago (yikes.. time flies)! #makingmemories#porchdays
Day 5; Implementation Week-TechPixies Instagram Challenge. As part of my TechPixies Social Media Savvy Superstar Course I have been challenged to post to Instagram for five consecutive days. I’m hoping to use this challenge to showcase my creative flair. Today’s images are to demonstrate how an initial idea can be translated into a decorative scheme. I gave you a sneak peep of this room yesterday when I posted the image of the tulips in the mantelpiece. Today I have photographed the whole room, as well as a vignette of one of my favourite corners, and the mood-board from which the scheme is derived. My inspiration for the colour palette originated from a Neptune photograph which showed a room with oak ceiling beams and small windows. Despite these features the room was made to look light and airy. This helped me make an informed choice with regards to wall colour and window dressing fabrics. I was also struck by a separate image displaying a number of free standing mirrors atop a console table. My final scheme incorporated three mirrors which have the effect of bouncing light around the room. To tie-in with the cabbage and rose pattern curtains and blinds I bought some allotment themed cushions from Next and some stunning lampshades from Cream Cornwall. Adding these accessories created a whole new dimension with regards to the inclusion of complimentary colours and decorative elements resulting in a more individual look. #techpixiesinstachallenge#neptune#next#creamcornwall#homedecor#homestylingtips#countrycottagestyle#ashfronts

Popped to B&M yesterday to grab some bits and saw that @dunelmuk was open🙌🏼 I couldn’t resist!!!
I wanted some jars and artificial flower stems for my @lauraashleyuk window basket. Had had some little spring plants in here before but im done ...I cant seem to keep real plants alive in my house 🙈
Anyway i found exactly what i wanted and im really pleased with how pretty they look all put together!
Its a rainy day but hope you have a good one 💛
I think Norfolk is forecast 4 solid days of heavy rain. Maybe it’s time for me to do the house work I’ve been putting off because I’ve been enjoying my garden.
What’s your project at the moment? Transforming part of my garden has just made me want to do more 😊
When the Rose matches the pretty pink cottage... 🌸
It’s been extremely quiet over here just painting and more painting out in the new garden studio for my daughter... Just the bathroom to be completed and then I can begin to furnish it... 😁 My daughter has requested a desk made out of scaffolding planks so luck would have it, managed to bag myself 6 planks off the back of a scaffolding lorry today whilst popping out for some groceries... I thought I would try my luck and ask one of the workmen constructing them outside a house if I could purchase some and he happily obliged, after a call to his boss for a small fee... One happy customer 😉😁 Have a lovely evening! 🤍x
