#ad I’m a snacker, I mean who doesn’t love a snack? But as it’s the New Year and all, I’ve decided to be more conscious of the snacks I’m eating. I needed to find a versatile yet healthy snack that’s suitable for all my snacking needs, whatever my mood. @thelaughingcow_uk creamy cheese spread triangles are a great product for the January fresh start. So, today I spread it on a crunchy rye bread and layered it with smoked salmon, onion, radishes, capers, dill and a generous squeeze of lemon. It was SO tasty!!! And with each triangle being 42 calories and a great source of calcium there is no guilt factor involved #TheLaughingCow#SnackLikeYou

‘A Sunday well spent brings a week of content’
Sunday is normally my (sort of) day off! And there’s nothing better than a chilled stroll out in the fresh air followed by a good cuppa! 👌🏻
Granted it is not thins sunny today, but even when the sun isn’t shining, the countryside is still full of inspiration! 🍃 #sundayvibes#asundaywellspent

Last January weekend and we’ve woken to bright skies. A busy day ahead with diy, children’s parties, opticians and, if I have the energy later, a yummy roast! Ever regret telling little ones they have a party to go to? I mentioned it to Rupert yesterday and he’s non stop asked about when we’re going 🤪 T-minus 3 hours and 11 minutes to be precise 😆 I must remember next time to tell him when we’re in the car on the way! 😉
A late #saturdaysinkie for @athomewiththehorsleys 😘 and joining in with @rampantlyrustic#rampantlyrustic#kitchendesignideas #kitchensink#weekendstyle
Today has been a good day 🥰
Firstly, thank you all so much for the love you’ve shown my stories today. It’s a whistle stop tour through my morning routine with the animals and I honestly didn’t expect it to be that interesting 😂I’ll try to do a bit more recording of the day to day going ons 👌🏻
And secondly, I got to spend a few hours with my favourite person! My 8 yr old niece 🥰 this morning we went to join the local library and discover what amazing delights are hiding in their shelves of books. My niece is dyslexic and is struggling to learn to read so as a family we’ve decided to all pitch in and foster a love of books, stories and information that goes beyond being able to read the words herself. We sat for well over an hour pulling book after book down from the children’s reference section and learnt about the first woman pilot, whales and by far her favourite (the one she checked out) all about poo 🤦♂️ she LOVES science and it’s brilliant to listen to her regurgitating facts that she’s seen on tv programmes and YouTube. Her ability to learn will not be defined by her ability to read 💪🏻 We also tried out a new technique suggested by the Dyslexia Society where she followed the words with her finger whilst I read the story to her. She concentrated much harder than she normally would on the words on the page. She usually gets distracted by guessing the story based on the pictures. Taking the pressure off of her will hopefully help her to stay an enthusiastic learner and a lover of books for many years to come 💕
A special offer for the nights we have left in February We have the 3rd 4th 5th and the 9th 10th and 11th left this month any one who would like to book a stay with us on those nights would get a free melting cheese board it’s a £155 for a nights stay .
Tell me about your favourite books! What book would you recommend to EVERYONE?
Pre-baby, I was a total bookworm. But spending the last 9 months in a permanently exhausted haze put pay to that for a while.
And lately I’ve rediscovered my love for books.
I get so excited about snuggling down in bed with a good read.
I’d love to know what books you’d recommend? What are the books you thought about for weeks afterwards? Which ones do you wish you could unread, so that you could experience them for the first time, all over again?
The only thing I don’t really enjoy is sci-fi or fantasy. Anything else; romance, autobiographies, crime, fiction, non-fiction... I’m completely open minded.
Edited to add; I should have mentioned, my only non-negotiable... MUST HAVE A HAPPY ENDING!

So, I’m going to be making a few changes around here.
I’ve taken a little break from posting for a few days to get things sorted and I’m excited about this decision.
If you have followed me for a while, you will know me as the lady who lives in a barn, in Essex, with a mad chocolate Labrador, loves all things country and sells second-hand, vintagey bits and bobs. 🙋🏼♀
It’s true. I do still love a charity shop or a market stall. And I will always enjoy finding interesting things to buy. Things that remind me of times gone by, that have a quirkiness and little pieces for my country home. It’s somewhat of an addiction, I believe.
However, I will no longer be selling things on here. At least not for now.
I have lots going on at the moment, that keeps me very busy and that takes up a lot of my head space. And it is for that reason that I’ve decided to just make this account for fun!
Simply somewhere that I can share photographs of interesting things. Of Fun parts of my life. Maybe sometimes my opinions and my take on things.
Lots of pretty squares, with photographs of my country home, my pets and my family, my hobbies and any little adventures I may have along the way. How does that sound?
I would sincerely like to thank everybody who has followed me over the last couple of years and supported my little venture. I hope you will all continue to join me, as I endeavour to make this little account lots of creative fun.
Feeling totally shattered here. Aurelia is going though a spell of 4:30am wakeups at the moment - going back to sleep seems totally optional. Yet her smile is contagious and every new thing she does and says feels like a miracle.
There is literally nothing to show in my garden atm, no snowdrops or hellebores have opened up yet! So popped out to buy some primroses to brighten a couple of borders up and this white beauty was amongst them 😊
Did you know we now make mittens!? It’s certainly been the weather for them this week hasn’t it?? .
All made with our hand dyed and woven British wool fabrics and lined with the same gorgeous 100% natural lambs wool fleece fabric! So snuggly and warm!! 🥰 .
Available for both adults AND children! 😁
Head over to the website to see our current stock, we will be adding a few more to the website today too! - #linkinbio
Don’t forget we can also make any of our products to order in your hoover of design and colours! 🧡 #tweedmittens
🧡 Fun Fact 🧡
I have 4 gorgeous siblings!
2 younger sister, 1 younger brother and an older sister!
They happen to make fabulous models too! 😉 Though I’m yet to convince my older sister to get in front of the camera for me! 😛 .
They are all amazing in their own way and I don’t know what I’d do, or where I’d be without any of them!
Thank you for being you! 🧡 #funfact#facesbehindthebrand#siblinglove
Our baby Flicka has been upgraded for a couple of nights due to maintenance on her stable. Safe to say she’s absolutely loving her suite, two stables knocked into one huge one, she’s been more than chilled 😍 #happyhorse

Blue skies and sunshine definitely result in me feeling more productive. As soon as it’s overcast I just want to hibernate again 🙈 So today I turned the music up to motivate me and blitzed pretty much the whole house. Just in time for the kids to come home from school and mess it up again! .
A milky morning if ever there was one.
It’s not raining, but the air is so damp that beads of water settle on wax jackets within a few short minutes of being outside. The best place to be on a day like today is beside the kettle, waiting for it to boil. Again ☕️ #MistyMilkyFoggyMoody
