This limited edition lip-smacker of a gem is only here for another month or so, so we figured we'd take the opportunity to highlight another ingredient (or in this case a couple of them). As previously mentioned this bun is based on a frozen lemon parfait I enjoyed growing up. 90s desserts are underrated and these types of basic frozen parfaits/cheesecakes are such a treat!
Swedes (and people from the northern european region in general) have a love-love relationship with cultured dairy; sour cream, gräddfil, smetana, labneh, quark and skyr are only a few of them but my mum's parfait recipe utilises what might be (one of) my favourite(s): crème fraîche 😋
We use @tatuadairyco crème fraîche and add some @equagold vanilla beans to give it that vanilla icecream base flavour and then give it a good whack of our friend Shirley's organic, and super juicy, lemons 🍋
Although the kiwi lemons have arguably less sharpness than their European counterparts these are a pretty yummy substitution. Lemon juice and plenty of zest make their way into the mousse and then to really bring the freshness out we top them with even more freshly zested lemons.
Sometimes the simplest food is the hardest to master. I don't think there can be a "perfect" dish or meal, so I don't try to make it perfect, which makes it fun. Here we have a baked potato....but I messed with it a bit. Rubbed in OO and flaky salt, baked at 425° for an hour, riced the taytoe guts and mixed with a fundido of smoked flagship, sour cream, creme fresh, scallions and bacon. For some reason I always struggle with baking a potato, this was a good one doe.

As you can see from my posts I prefer easy recipes which don’t take too much time. Our dinner today was chicken strips with cream cheese and creme fraiche and broccoli with garlic powder.

Yo los rehogo sazonados con sal y pimienta blanca, les añado vino blanco, se hacen rápido. Los retiro del fuego y reduzco la salsa añadiendo 3 cucharadas de nata fresca que me encanta para las salsas y batir enérgicamente hasta que ligue bien.
Honnêtement, je ne bois presque jamais de crème fraîche.
Mais aujourd'hui, quand j'ai vu la composition idéale que cela créée sur le plateau Yoga je me suis dis que ce serait dommage de pas essayer.
Du coup je me suis servi un pot et franchement.... c'est passé crème 🤣. Allez je sort!🏃pas moyen de sortir vers la droite, saleté d'emoji. Passez une belle soirée!

This recipe just blew me away, I even licked the plate. Roasted beets, toasted caraway seeds, sautéed carrots and shallots that are tossed in a red wine vinaigrette then topped with dill, creme fraiche and salt. Simple, delicious, beautiful!
