Today’s dispute? Socialization! I brought Wrabel in to my office today and my coworkers were appalled that he could not be pet. One made a comment about him not being socialized. I tried to explain how socialization works but she shook her head and said I was wrong. It’s so unfortunate that society is not taught how to properly socialize, handle, care for, and interact with dogs. Wrabel is incredibly friendly. And I can honestly say I’m happy I DONT let people pet him because he’d be seeking out too much attention from others and would lose focus on the task at hand. Properly socialized animals aren’t ones that get petted by everyone and say “hi” to everyone’s dogs. They are dogs that have SEEN plenty of people and have SEEN other dogs and WITNESSED other dogs interact. There will always be a battle between what’s right and what society THINKS is right but it’s up to YOU as dog owners to properly educate yourselves so we can end these trends and mindsets that have grown for generations.
With a lot of consistency, Elly is doing better with the pack- learning it's inappropriate to attack Blitz when I correct him...🤦🏼♀️ I don't know that she and Libby will ever be together without the use of a muzzle, but I'm happy with how she's handling herself this weekend. #enjoythemoment#gsdlove

Two days off this week for our family! More fun to come today.
Aloha 🌴✈️ Say hello to our newest island pup! We finally made it home.
Scarlett was absolutely perfect on the flight, and handled her new experiences like a champ (hello, stairs, elevator, escalator, bus). We really hate the bus though 😂
Thank you @n0stets for getting us through this week, and making sure this ham was 100% ready. You are a lifesaver 👏🏻
This week we have been working on transitioning back to the e-collar. The most controversial training tool. No matter how much you trust your dog you should always have a backup when working off-leash and NEVER use one without a professional’s assistance.
I have worked very hard to develop such a strong focus with Wrabel. The real test will be going out in public this summer with all the commotion and people. One is never “done” training. We have a long ways to go but my goal is to earn at least a BH this year.
Last night I learned how to jump on the bed, and that I can’t eat moms phone or her hair 🙄🐾
Scarlett and I are bonding really well. It’ll take a little bit to solidify that trust, but at this rate we’ll be there in no time ☺️ She’s a spunky (& super well behaved) lil thing, and so much fun to be around. I lucked out 🖤 .
