A few years ago, when I started my blog, as most of you already know, I didn't know anything about Instagram. I even wrote to the customer service at Squarespace (the platform where I blog) asking them to explain to me how I could benefit from Instagram. Slowly I started getting the hang of it and realized that Instagram could give me a vast audience for my blog. However, as my audience started growing, my priorities began shifting, and I became the victim of 'Insta-highs' when my post did well and "Insta-lows' when my post did not do well. Somewhere along the way, my original purpose of why I started Instagram started getting obscured. I started enjoying my new 'Insta-fame.' I became a victim of the numbers game. I started going through enormous stress and anxiety to get the perfect photo and create a perfectly curated feed. However, in recent months, I have taken a step back to think deeply about my life and evaluate what is important to me. I have been taking regular breaks from social media to work on my blog. And I cannot put into words the kind of satisfaction it is giving me. Social media is a fantastic tool, one that helps me to connect with all of you. But if not used in moderation, it is massively addictive and can destroy the thinker in you. I urge all of you to take regular breaks from your phone and disconnect from the world to think about where your life is headed, and whether indiscriminate use of technology is widening the gap between you and the fulfillment of your dreams. Since I don't often post here, if you want to be sure you don't miss my posts, please switch on post notification for my posts. Also, I invite you to sign up for my blog's newsletter and be the first one to get my travel stories, news, and updates. Link is in my Bio and Stories. Lastly, I am up on Pinterest, I just recovered my old account, deleted my old boards, and started sharing my travels there. You can follow me on Pinterest too - link to my account is in my stories.

Our walk towards Mont Saint Michel on a very grey day. It was incredible to finally explore the island and visit the abbey, but it was so overwhelmingly busy and I really don’t cope well in crowds, as an anxious and highly sensitive person it was too much for me. Definitely the busiest place I have been this year, possibly my whole life 🤪. But I am still glad we got to experience it. Hope you’ve had a lovely weekend. 💛

Some morning you wake up and remember what it’s all about. And it all makes sense. And you appreciate everything around you.
Yes, it was a good cup of coffee. Thank you.

Epic bucket list experiences you should avoid.
. (What a long URL....💦) Do you agree with the all destinations? 🤖
I went to Dubai when the tallest building grand opened, Burj Khalifa Tower.
Thanks to opening promotion, I paid less money to go up but regular price is as expensive as Disneyland one day passport or more than that 🙀
I am lucky 🍀 yay.
It was a good view from the observation deck. I can’t remember the floor. As I didn’t pay full price, I can still recommend Burj Khalifa Tower. 👅
Pic4. Ceiling of a shopping mall but I can’t remember which one....
I know it’s been a longggggg while since my last post and to be honest, I got lazier in posting 🙈BUT I really need to show this to you guys, look at this magnificent temple! 😍
The 16th-century Wat Xieng Thong is one of the largest Buddhist temples in Luang Prabang, Laos and it is easily one of the most impressive Buddhist temples I’ve ever seen. It fully represents Lao architecture with elaborate mosaic patterns, beautiful wall carvings, rare Buddhist deities, and a 12-metre-tall funeral carriage. The architecture here is jaw-dropping 😱 and it would be a great pity if you miss this in Luang Prabang. . #watxiengthong#luangprabang#laos#lao#temple#travel#sheisnotlost#dametraveler#travelgram#instatravel

I often see these rocks intricately stacked at beaches. Makes me wonder if they are some sort of signal to King Neptune or Aquaman?

— Beit Bridi, one of six L’Hôte Libanais Family Members in North Lebanon, speaks to you in a murmur. The home is tucked away in the foliage, leaning against a wall of lush greenery on one side and open to the surrounding valley on the other.
London is always unpredictable especially about weather.
Don’t miss this sunny Sunday ☀️

Do you know what people did in the old days when they had secrets they didn’t want to share?
They’d climb a moutain, find a tree, carve a hole in it, whisper the secret into the hole and cover it up with mud.
I was at the center of a cemetery, but this was quite different from all the others I had set foot on before. No, no secrets are buried here, but equally fascinating. There were no crosses on gravestones, only images of animals that looked like they came out of a kiddie cartoon show. No melancholic messages for mourning, only punny epitaphs that inspire smiles and laughter. No human bodies six feet under, only negativities — metaphorically, of course.
Adorning one slope of a hill at Camp John Hay, the Cemetery of Negativism (also known as the Lost Cemetery) is part of the camp’s Historical Core. Established by the base’s commanding general John Hightower in the early 1980s, it is a symbolic site for the burying of negativities — thoughts, emotions, attitude — or, as we usually call them collectively today, bad vibes. While the cemetery is only a symbolical representation, it was told that way back they actually do a mock funeral to seal the act.

Top 10 Instagram Spots in Rome... and when to visit them (save this post for later!) 👍🏽⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Trevi Fountain: Arrive just before sunrise, by the time the first rays appear there will be others there (10-20) - but you’ll still be able to get some good shots.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Spanish Steps: Go straight from Trevi to the Spanish Steps. They stay relatively empty until 7:30AM.
3. Piazza del Popolo: I then went from the Spanish Steps to this Piazza. It stayed pretty empty until 8:30AM, but it’s so big that crowds don’t really matter.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. Colosseum: Surprisingly not busy in the morning. I was the only person at the viewpoint from above Colosseo metro station until 8:30AM.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5. Pantheon: I arrived at 7AM and it was empty.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
6. Piazza Novana: I went from the Pantheon to this Piazza which stayed quite empty until 8:30AM.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
7. Castel Sant’ Angelo: Arrive just before sunrise to get the lit up lantern effect above (shoot in lowest possible ISO to lift shadows and brighten), but it will stay relatively empty until about 7AM.
8. Vatican: I went from Castel to Vatican, I arrived at 6:50AM and there were not many people about.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
9. Roman Forum: Head here for great sunset views (lookout from behind the Capitoline Museums).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
10. Gelato Shops (as you’ve seen in my numerous insta-stories 🤣): Visit anytime, my favourite are Come il Latte, Gelateria del Teatro + Gelateria Corona. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
