Langelinie, Copenhagen, Denmark 🇩🇰
You probably recognize this famous statue. It is The Little Mermaid. When I first saw it, I was a bit surprised. I thought it would be larger considering its popularity.
Another thing that surprised me about it was its connection to beer; specifically, Carlberg. Carl Jacobson, son of the founder of Danish global brewer Carlsberg, had seen the ballet based on the fairy tale of the same name, and was so impressed by it that he had a statue commissioned. The figure depicts Ariel, the mermaid, coming out of the water and becoming human.

Today the Danish Royal House announced that Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark has returned home after spending a few days visiting his brother, Prince Joachim and his wife, Princess Marie at the family residence, the Château de Cayx in France. Several days ago it was revealed that Prince Joachim had emergency surgery due to a blood clot. The Prince is getting better, but still needs peace and quiet for a full recovery 🏰🇩🇰👑♥️
Nyhavn is one of the most easily recognizable spots in Denmark, and certainly in Copenhagen. Its brightly colored row of buildings along the canal are supremely picturesque. The waterway itself dates back to the late 17th century, when it was constructed by King Christian V from 1670 to 1675. It was dug by Swedish prisoners of war from the Dano-Swedish War which lasted from 1658 to 1660. Today, Nyhavn is renowned for its historic buildings and ships, and is an obligatory stop for any traveler in Copenhagen.
The Storstrøm Bridge (1)
(The Storstrøm Bridge (Danish: Storstrømsbroen) is a road and railway arch bridge that crosses Storstrømmen between the islands of Falsterand Masnedø in Denmark.
Together with Masnedsund Bridge it connects Falster and Zealand (Sjælland). It was the main road connection between the islands until the Farø Bridges were opened in 1985. It is still part of the railway connection between the islands of Lolland, Falster, and Zealand. It is on the rail line between Copenhagen and Hamburg, Germany)

There are some flowers during short summer in Scandinavia
Der Weg, er war hart
Doch die Zukunft wird einfach
Der Druck wird noch kleiner
Die Last auf den Schultern wird leichter
