We took an Uber to Palace of Versailles since transportation was down due to the strikes. Got there super early hoping to be one of the first people in the hall of mirrors but security told us the opening would be delayed and to come back later. An hour later we came back and there was already a football field full of people in line. So much for being first 😂😭 This was the best photo I could get but that’s the reality of this place. It gets damn packed! But I can see why. The architecture of Louie XVI’s home is such a treat for your eyes. Elaborate details, paintings, and patterns from floor to ceiling laced with gold for days. Can I get one of these rooms in my future home? 🙈
Sometimes, you just need to change your altitude🏔✨

⬆️ "Let's go fly a kite" That's one big kite xD haha! Next time we go home I think we're chill and watch the rippling waters that King Triton manifests. It really is beautiful here. Just pure open space. If I lived in Paris, this would definitely be a hang out spot for me and my other disnerd friends 😊
Per me adesso “fernweh” è Roma.

Imagine the women you want to be. think of what her daily life, her habits and routines would be. Start showing up to those habits and routines, start building them, step by step and say by day. You don’t become her like magic. You build her. Start building. - @jamievaron / linked this set here : http://liketk.it/2JhSK
“In order to love who you are, you cannot hate the experiences that shaped you.”
- Andrea Dykstra
I know this quote is true, but it’s been pretty tough being so so sick when all you want is to be healthy. .
I decided I needed to look more festive during the Day of the Dead celebrations, so I got a flower crown to wear. So many people were full-on dressed up like catrinas! Next time I’ll have to paint my face too! 💀
P.S. Flower crowns smell so good! 😌🌺 .
This morning I biked a marathon!🤪
I love biking and look forward to it on the weekends so so much... now off to sorority recruitment for the rest of the day💎 ✨What are your weekend plans?
↘️TIP OF THE DAY: Plan a workout with friends on a Saturday morning. 🌤A great way to be social and active!💃🏽
💫Have a perfect day on purpose 💫

Nyhavn in Copenhagen is very popular among tourists and locals
Boat hair, don't care.⛵
Australia is a huge country and 2 weeks was not enough to make a dent at all. One area we decided to check out was the Airlie Beach area and the beautiful Whitsunday islands. We sailed around one day (~12 of us on a small boat) enjoying being on the water, snorkeling in different spots, and hiking on the Whitsunday Islands National parks. This area has not been effected by the severe bush fires we are hearing about and if you are heading to Australia would highly recommend to check it out and support the community. If you are looking for ways to help Australian communities and wild life effected by the bushfires, here are organizations you can donate to:
Australian Red Cross
Firefighters - NSW Rural Fire Service
Firefighters - Victoria CFA

Welcome to Scotland aka my real life fairytale. ✨
⭐️SAVE POST⭐️ for best castles to visit when in Scotland. ✨🏰🏴 Falling in love with a Scottish Man definitely has its perks: the witty charm, lovely green eyes, of course the accent, the sarcastic British humor/banter & knowing that one day I’d potentially get married in Scotland (preferably in a dream castle/estate as that’s what I’ve had picture in mind anytime I sink into a daydream!) 🏰💙🤴🏻🏴🧿
I’m a sucker for shows like Downton Abbey, Outlander, Game of Thrones or anything with gorgeous castles in it, so of course Scotland instantly became my real life fairytale. Traveling from the midlands to the highlands Craig & I have been searching for our perfect Scotland wedding venue for a couple years now since that special day he went down on one knee & proposed to me on Loch Lomond! 💁🏻♂️💍👰🏻💙Can’t wait to tie the knot this summer... but for now I’ve picked my top 10 castles to visit while in Scotland below:
🏰Eilean Donan Castle (pictured)
All equally beautiful but I have to say here at Eilean Donan Castle has been my favorite so far! Tag me if you visit these beautiful castles!
📍FUN FACT: Did you know that 87% of people in Scotland have blue or green eyes? 1% of the worlds population have green eyes. If green eyes are your weakness like me... head to Scotland! #LATGscotland

Say yes and figure it out later🤷🏼♀️🙃 Almost 2 years ago we said yes to start renting our beach house to vacationers while we traveled. We bought the house with that intention.
Had we managed a property before? No.
Had we been Airbnb hosts before? No.
Had we run a business before? No.
Had we hired anyone before? No.
Did we know anyone that ran an Airbnb? No.
Ummm that’s a lot of nos. I don’t think we had any professional experience related to running this sort of business. All we had done was STAYED in tons of Airbnbs around the world. So obvs we were so qualified 😂
Well, it was probably one of the best decisions and investments we’ve made so far together. And we had NO EXPERIENCE in it. I just had my heart set on doing this and that was pretty much it.
You’ve probably had a lot of no’s on the qualifications and experience side of things of something you’re interested in doing. And ya know what? Most successful people start projects or take on roles they had no clue how to do or had experience in. It doesn’t make you unqualified. Being proactive and determined are probably some of the best skills you can develop, to be adaptable and figure things out (hellooo, this so easier now that ever before with resources all over the internet and YouTube).
Imposter syndrome can be debilitating. But you need to learn in order to grow, so that means you MUST do things out of your comfort. Sometimes we see successful people and think they have it all covered, all figured. The difference is that determination to figure it out as you go.
So channeling this throwback from the Caribbean 😜🦋 and thinking warm thoughts as I head to single digit weather and snow for the weekend 🙈😅❄️⛄️
Take a minute
You say you have to go
but yesterday your heart was in it

Low tide at Nungwi beach in Zanzibar 💧 since I was going through some old(ish) memories I couldn’t help but share this one that @dianamiaus and I captured in Zanzibar while winding down from the safari experience that I told you about in yesterday’s post. 🏝
The tides in Zanzibar are more extreme than anywhere else I have been to, and sometimes in the morning, the ocean draws back for what seems like miles, leaving part of the sea floor exposed and boats stranded. Here’s a spot where the water was already coming back, but so shallow and calm it resembled a mirror 😁
