There’s my pink couch. It managed to stay clean with daily use the last two weeks. And It feels so good to have my Macramé wall hanging back on the wall too. This is the living room. The first room you walk into through the front door. It’s really starting to feel normal again as things are coming into place. Still a work in progress. Pete the peacock will be hanging on the wall eventually. I have an IKEA standing shelf on order that should arrive this coming week. It’s for plants and Knick knacks, if I have room for Knick knacks. I have a lot of plants and plans for plants. Propagation, etc., but the shelf will go in Pete’s spot. The decorating goes on. Slowly but surely. What better thing to do when there’s not much else to do, right???? Cleaning and decorating 😊. Great day wishes to you all today 🙏🏻☺️.
What are you unlearning in this phase?
What is this season teaching you?
What are you taking with you today?
As we move into this new season how are we wrestling with the challenges and wins that come our way? For some, this may be a season of huge growth; having time to put effort into new projects and things that have been at the bottom of the to-do list.
For others, it is a season of mourning the life we were living and finding ourselves at a loss for words. It will be a season of slowing down and not doing anything new.
For some it may be a phase of guilt; feeling like there should be more to do, like spending so much time at home decreases your value or like you have lost a piece of your identity.
I haven’t yet identified what phase i’m in as I find myself in so many different places.
How are you responding to the first 3 questions? Are your head and your heart going in different directions? This may be a good exercise to practice this week; reflect.
I’m holding on to the small things.
Like pretty nails and hair clips that make me forget i’m 75% dry shampoo.

It feels so strange not being at church on Palm Sunday. I’ve found myself going through photos I’ve taken in churches all over. This was a small chapel in Volterra, Italy. The Church is not the building, but I miss the gathering.
Our skin is our largest organ, so we need to pay attention to what products we’re putting on it - intentionally or unintentionally. What we apply enters our bloodstream + can cause all sorts of damage if we aren’t careful. Contrary to what people believe, most exposure to hazardous pollutants that affect our health actually occurs indoors.
The main source of these indoor pollutants + exposure comes from artificially fragranced products, which are creativity + cutely marketed for consumers. Examples are: candles, air fresheners (sprays, plug-ins, Scentsy), body wash, deodorant, perfume, lotion, shampoo, cleaning supplies, laundry supplies, dryer sheets, makeup, toothpaste, etc.
Basically everything we have in our homes has the potential to be created with pollutants. Fragranced products emit dozens of different volatile compounds that are primary pollutants, and that react with the ozone to generate secondary pollutants - like formaldehyde + acetaldehyde. Little information exists, partially because products are not required to disclose all ingredients. How scary! The word “fragrance” is used as an umbrella term for a lot of potentially harmful chemicals. This information comes from the NCBI (National Center for Biotechnology Information).
Until I knew better, I used brands like Bath + Body Works, Dove, Aveeno, or Johnson + Johnson. Chances are you do too. We’re programmed to believe that the products we have access to are safe however, this isn’t the case. It’s frightening + infuriating, but we have options.
The products we allow into our homes will have long-term lasting effects that may not be obvious in the moment. We are the gatekeepers to our homes and need to be taking action for optimal wellness. Let’s know better + do better 🌿

When into quarantine with people not being able to tell that I’m pregnant. Will come out of quarantine with people having no doubt that I’m pregnant. **Adds “clean bedroom mirror” to quaranclean list.
Story Time. 👗
When I was little I used to dream of having a wardrobe filled with “princess” dresses. LITERALLY wished for it every night and checked my wardrobe in the morning. I’m talking 6, maybe 7 year old me.
Well, little me, you made it. 👗👗👗

Ladies and gents, we‘ve officially hit the point where I solely get ready for my cat. 💁🏻♀️
I have spent so much time trying to please everyone and be perfect.
the perfect daughter
the perfect student
the perfect friend
trying to take the perfect pictures
to speak perfect english
But I am not perfect and I am okay with that. Because in trying to please everyone I forgot about myself.
I need to be unapologetically me. And the problem is not bookstagram is my in “real life”. I feel like me most of the time I am me on bookstagram but there is just some days where I confine myself to my aesthetic or I am afraid to post a different type of picture but this is my vow to be 100% me all of the time.
I am weird, loud, crazy, imperfect, and absolutely nuts. And I am not afraid to show it.
And in the wise words of my icon Taylor Swift:
Haters gonna hate
So here is a video of me silly dancing in between a photoshoot .
Also thats a secret of all my pictures they are usually a capture in between silly dances from Taylor Swift, One Direction, Disney, Hamilton , Mamma Mia and more. ❓❓What music makes you happy? ❓❓ Also the ice cream koozie is from @baecrate my code is BERRY5 to save. Also the spoon 🥄 more pics to come.
Let’s talk about Emotional Eating ✋🏼
We’ve all been there. Stressed, bored, sad, angry, even happy or excited; food is there for it all – to comfort us, distract us, or simply excite us.
Emotional Eating is when you find yourself eating for reasons other than satisfying physical hunger. It is way more common than you might think, so don’t feel ashamed if this is you.
Here are 6 important lessons I’ve learned through working with clients in the past and in my own experience as it relates to shifting Emotional Eating to Mindful Eating👇🏼
1. It’s totally normal to reach for food for comfort. For example, take it back with me to the very beginning. As infants, we are comforted by our mothers milk or bottle. Food = Comfort has been ingrained in us. And that’s OKAY!
2. Don’t abandon your feelings. Become okay with feeling your feelings instead of trying to escape them through distracting yourself with food.
3. Take note of your triggers and prepare accordingly. For example, if you’re a stress eater then plan an alternative outlet to turn to for the stress episode that is not food related to comfort you.
4. Ask yourself before grabbing for the food, “Am I really hungry?” and “Will this make me feel better or worse?” Strive to eat mainly when the answer is “Yes” & “Better.” Give yourself grace for the other times.
5. Breathe between bites. Chew food thoroughly. Put down the fork (AKA take breaks). When you find yourself Emotional Eating, notice it, accept it, and become present. Most of the time we are eating mindlessly when emotional eating so we end up eating more without even realizing it. If we breathe, chew, and take breaks, we won’t eat nearly as much.
6. Make sure there is pleasure in your life outside of food.
What is your experience with Emotional Eating? It’s an important topic to talk about! #SheLivesWholly

Back when it was warm. And when it was and is fair to say, I’ve walked a hell. Back when the plums filled the air after soaking in the sun for hours. Back when the pavement would be cool underfoot in the sun down time on the eastern side of my home and when the heat would rise on the west and melt our strands to gold. Back when the flowers were full and nursing bees and lady beetles and filling the old shelves in the old corners of this old, sacred, paint chipped home.

"And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”" -Matthew 21:9 (ESV)
I toke this in nov of 2019 and I was thinking to share this on the day when I was shooting it and here's it's.
sunday 🌸 our little apartment is filled with sunlight, I love when that happens early in the morning. yesterday I ordered some festive sweets at the little bakery in town (strawberry tarts and pudding crumble!) so I’ll pick them up in a few hours - there’s no particular reason, but I felt in the mood to celebrate something. maybe spring or the sun or our home or us or just life?
I hope you have the loveliest sunday too, friends x

Stairway to Heaven ✨
No Photoshop necessary here this was legitimately a stairway to heaven. Well not quite, as all the borders are shut so we didn't quite make it up there... This neat staircase art installation is actually part of a coffee shop in the hills of Da Lat, Vietnam. You would not believe the crazy cool spots here that you could drink your morning (or afternoon) brew! They had hay bales, and huts and all kinds of photoworthy hangout areas. We mean it when we say Vietnam has some of the coolest cafe culture on earth, and all coffee shops seem to have something super unique about them!
When the world's borders finally open up again, where is first on your travel list??
Disclaimer: This photo was taken pre-covid. Although we are not currently travelling and are taking it easy isolating, we feel we must do our best to keep all you beautiful people interest in travel. What does creativity look like during covid-19?
Is it quiet?
Is it lonely?
Is it an escape?
Is it a home within a home?
Is it a way to scream without sound?
Is it a balm?
Is it a memory of the past?
Is it hope?
What is creativity to you today? 🖤 #doitfortheprocess
Disclaimer, your words might end up in a podcast episode next week. 😘. Let’s be honest and authentic together during this weird time.
