How does that work?
Your white blood cells can only fight against bacteria when you move. Because when you move, your lymph moves.
So why does lymph not move by itself?
The heart that pumps the blood everywhere through our body. Within the lymphatic system, we don’t have this motor. In this lymphatic system, we don’t have a heart that pumps the lymph.
The lymph only moves for example when you breathe. When you breathe in and out you move lymph. And when you walk. And when you move your arms. In general terms, by movement, you improve the capacity of your immune system.
So now we know lymph needs to move because lymph needs to be filtered. Lymph also carries waste. And this waste needs to be filtered by the lymphatic nodes.
When lymph does not move, you get problems of retention of liquids. Some people get big arms or legs. You can easily get an infection. Actually, you will die when you don’t move.
So, to improve your immune system, you need to move. So you can do sports or you can get a massage treatment. Because massage is movement.
We use the technique of Traditional Thai Massage. Both masseur and receiver are moving. We use stretches and use acupressure. The massage therapist is stimulating the movement of your lymph. So your immunity system improves.
However, when you already have a fever, have an infection, then you should avoid massage. The best thing is to rest until you are better. So just get a massage treatment to improve your immune system, to prevent to get sick.

Good news! We are open starting June 2nd at 8 a.m.! Things will be looking only slightly different since most of the required precautions are already followed. Here are some of the precautions we have made or continue to make for your safety through these strange times. - Each client will have more time between so I can use EPA approved cleaning supplies on all contact surfaces and allow it to sit for the directed amount of time. - You will need a mask to be worn when you are in the office and when face up (mask can be removed while face down). If you do not have a mask, I will supply one to you for a small fee to cover costs. - if face work is needed, gloves will need to be worn by me and the mask can be taken off and promptly put back once done.
- I will be asking if you have had a fever recently, been around someone who has had coronavirus, or have been instructed to self-quarantine before you are allowed to enter.
- once I receive my infrared thermometer, temperatures of myself and you will be taken before the session. - Hand sanitizer will be available at any point also

Massage therapy for lower back pain
People usually don’t know about this spot … until it gets massaged, and then it’s like scratching an itch they didn’t even know they had. Even when they have low back pain caused or complicated by soreness in this patch of muscle, most people think it seems “too high” to be involved. But trigger points here are common, and often refer pain downwards, fooling us into thinking our low back pain is lower than it is.
This Perfect Spot lives in the “thoracolumbar corner,” a nook between your lowest rib and your spine — right where the stability of the rib cage and thoracic vertebrae gives way to the relative instability of the lumbar spine.
The Quadratus Lumborum is active during many actions and activities, some of them counter-intuitive and quite interesting, and is an active stabilizer of the spine, a “core strength” muscle, most active in a side plank.
Sensation in this area can feel hot and burning if the trigger points are severe, and they can also feel breathtaking.
However, in the majority of people, a blunted or more gentle pressure will still produce the signature sensation of a Perfect Spot: a deep, sickly “sweet” ache.
You can’t easily treat this spot on yourself unless you are unusually flexible or have the right kind of tool … but it’s easy to find on someone else. Simply locate the bottom rib, and then work your way inwards towards the spine. When you hit a thick bundle of muscle beside the spine, you’ve arrived: there is a bit of a natural corner there between a “roof” of rib and a “wall” of spinal muscle.
