This fitout included bottega oak wall panels that are a beautiful standout feature. The challenging part of this project was incorporating bi-folding doors that allow the kitchenette, wardrobe and print room to be enclosed.
La fachada original se reinterpreta con la introducción de la piedra, la reutilización de la madera de la propia vivienda, y la obra del dueño/artista grabada en las piezas sobre los dinteles y en el vidrio central.
The façade is updated by means of using natural stone, reclaimed wood from the building itself, and the artwork of the owner engraved on the pieces above the lintels and the glass on the main opening.

🌵🐪 Welcome to South America’s only desert oasis. If you were stranded here for the rest of your life and could only take three things with you, what would they be and why?
Tristan du Plessis, founder, and director of Johannesburg-based @tristan_studioa, has been into hospitality and dining scene for as long as he knew himself. His audacious and creative spirit has been celebrated in so many notable spaces, including his most recent project, Alice & Fifth in Johannesburg. “I wanted to create a sumptuous and decadent space that juxtaposes an underground edge while transporting guests out of every day experiences” he says. Featuring dark wood tones, velvet, and curvaceous forms, the eatery showcases a noble example of the contemporary world of African luxury. #hdmag#hospitalitydesign
