Does anyone feel tired this time of year? .
The constant carching up game and then you realise Christmas is just around the corner. .
It’s funny because I get asked ‘how are you surviving’ constantly and I do ask people around me the same question too. It’s a good problem to have and it’s also a good time to be mindful of how much is healthy busy for you. .
Two years ago my team and I realised what our max capacity was. Sure, the team can easily grow but I had to ask myself if I’m driving myself mad as well. I had to force myself to ask the questions that need to be asked for my sake and my team’s sake.
When they say you can’t have too much of something, that is so true. Make sure you are mindful of your capacity this season everyone. Self care is the most important when you’re at your busiest. 💕

Some inspiration from California - sometimes the simplest things is all it takes to recharge and correct your focus. This morning’s hike not only did that for me but was also a bucket list activity. ✅

In a month of thanks, I have so many things to be thankful for. Some are small. Some are huge. Some are mine and only mine to keep within my heart. I am thankful for things like hot water, coffee and clean sheets. I am thankful for my family, near and far. I am thankful that my parents are still alive and even though they live on the other side of the country, they still get to see our kids grow up. I am thankful for technology and social media so that they can see the kids grow up. I am thankful for my amazing husband and incredible kids. Friends who even if I haven't talked to them in months, I can pick up a conversation with them like I never left. I am thankful for rain, because without the rain there would be no rainbows. I am thankful for music because it keeps my soul dancing. I am thankful for miracles. Because God knows he has given me a handful, and I am blessed. I am thankful for my health. Though it is not great and I have had almost died, I am still here. My body is still ticking and that is something. That is life. Pure, magical and unknown.
I am thankful for a creative mind and one that sees worlds that most don't know exist. I see things in my head in millions of colors and I dream them onto paper. I am thankful for work opportunities, new and old that have made me who I am today. I am thankful that someone believes in my talent so much that I get to express that talent mostly without too much limitation, which is fantastic. I am thankful that in 2007, I decided that my talent deserved to be shared with those who couldn't afford an agency and I was able to work with companies I truly believed in. That I was able to take my entrepreneurial spirit and fly with it, owning my own design contracting business for 12 years now. I am thankful that I have art up all over the country that people can enjoy seeing something beautiful that maybe they didn't see before. .
I am thankful that I believed in who I am, flaws and all and made my soul come alive through doing what I love. It's like that saying, "She needed a hero so that's what she became." Sometimes you have to be your own hero and I hope our kids grow up and know how important that is.

Making them perfect for a childs playroom these rugs can be washed by hand with shampoo or laundry detergent and sun dried in hot summer sun. Boucherouite can be washed in large commercial coin machines on gentle cycle. They can also be vacuumed with the brush down. They are very sturdy weaves. The difference between a handmade rug and a mass produced one is in the final look and feeling of the room. Vintage Moroccan rugs add very apparent substance and class, but also, authenticity, uniqueness and fun.
With a life-size teepee, the playroom in designer Jenni Kayne's Los Angeles home is any child’s dream, and the cozy rug makes the floor perfect for playtime.
