Weekly Focus: Focus on "Your" Journey
Being Social animals it can become a habit to compare our abilities to other people. We often see this when beginners come to the gym and see people who have been Crossfitting for a long time and they say to themselves "I'll never be able to do that" or "I'm just not good enough for this.
It's so easy to forget that hidden behind people who display tremendous physical ability are months and years of grinding and hard work, long hours at the gym and laser like determination. They never gave up on themselves and they went into training with the mindset that Crossfit is a "long term" investment; a lifestyle choice, NOT a temporary band aid.
This is why it's so important to focus on our sphere of control and our own personal "process" in Crossfit, not on someone else's. Everyone will progress at different speeds, that's just nature. Have faith in "your" journey and unfolding. Come to the gym, do the work, cultivate discipline, and watch yourself thrive.

Another day, another victory. I walked 28,900+ steps. I walked eight miles on the flight deck, in the heat of the day. I’m practicing how to be mindful of my self and my one body. It’s little things like waking up a little earlier to run a little further. Actually weighing out food so that I know how much I’m putting into my body. It’s saying no to random sweets and snacks so that I can make progress towards my goals. It’s getting up and moving more every hour, every day. Three months of consistent work.
You see it’s not the things you do sometimes that are going to get you the results you want- it’s the things you do CONSISTENTLY that get you results. 🔑
If you put in half ass Effort- you get half ass results.
This applies to EVERY area of life that you can FAIL or have SUCCESS. 😏
If your relationship sucks- chances are- y’all aren’t putting in the effort it takes to thrive. 💣
Not getting where you want in the gym- switch it up- go a bit harder- because you’re not pushing yourself. 🏃🏼♀️ Your business is sucking!? Talk to more people- step out of your comfort zone- GO HARDER. 📲
The recipe to success is quite simple really- the hard part is the DICIPLINE it takes to achieve your goals. ✅
TYPICALLY when you want to give up- it’s usually when you’re about to have a break through. 💥
Keep pushing yourself harder until you get there.
I promise you will never regret the time and effort you put in once you start receiving the things your heart has been aching for! 💗
But If you’re a flake- your results will likely crumble.

Proud though; didn't feel like getting in this in today and I got myself into the proper mentality. You know how anoying it is to watch football on the couch and get up and go pull some weight?? Literally took me all 4 sets to get this sorta decent 3 reps. Last time I will ever pull on a weekend after watching the @patriots
Good ole broccoli W/ chicken and rice 🤷🏼♀️ hear me out though. I won’t eat it if it doesn’t taste good so I take advantage of sauces that I like! One of my favorites is sugar free bbq sauce 🔥😍 y’all!!!! @ghughessugarfree I bake my chicken and I coat them first with sugar free bbq sauce- seriously does wonders. Then I make whole wheat brown rice with broccoli 🥦! Each day I add more bbq sauce microwave it and eat it right up. "How often do you do cardio? Twice a week is all I need,15-20 min tops. My HIIT workouts are intense 🥵, but I allow myself 10 secs of rest between sets. I was drenched in sweat after this one!💦 .
