🔷 You work so hard all week. You wanna kick back and relax on the weekend. You wanna treat yourself. I know, it's just how life works.
🤔 What if I told you the best treats and rewards you could give yourself this weekend were:
1. Eat as balanced and healthy as you did all week so when Sunday came around you felt energetic and alive instead of exhausted and run down.
2. Said no to a social event that involved drinking and decadent food and instead decided to head to the gym or do an at home workout.
3. Worked on resetting/empowering your circadian rhythm, your body's natural sleep/wake system, by going to bed at similar times that you do during the week and waking up naturally.
4. Found 10 minutes to sit in silence, breath, meditate and gave the mind a moment to slow down from this unnatural overflow of information we're bombarded with daily.
5. Started, worked on or researched a project or skill you wanted to take up that could better your quality of life and increase your sense of self worth and accomplishment... instead of binge watching a show to escape.
🧐 I could keep going but you get the point. The average person busts their butt for five days out of the week, generally for someone else's ultimate benefit and then spends the two free days they have trying to "relax" from that reality.
🚫Don't do that this weekend. Do what you always say you are going to do or want to do but somehow let slip by. Stand firm on the belief of who you want to be and what you envision your life to look like. The weekend is YOU time. Give it the same effort, dedication and commitment you give your "work"!
🙏🏼 Go. No one's going to make any of those choices for you. Stand firm. Start now, thank me later. 🧙🏼♂️
Another 34 warriors at Calgary Place @gymvmt took on this circuit of triplets today. 2 rounds of 50sec on exercise with 10 second rest in between exercises! 👍💪. Really impressed with the new participants that took this one all the way to the end! Rehydrate, refuel & recover! Enjoy the weekend! Or come to Midnapore Sat & Sunday for another couple workouts! 😬.
Repetition you can build you a sweet stairway to heaven, or some shitty steps to hell.
My decades of drug use, alcohol and gambling addiction all started with that ONE TIME that gave me a break from my inner turmoil.
Unconsciously you crave this break again, so you repeat and repeat until it ain't a party no more. It's a horrid mess of your own making.
Food for thought... “How about if we all just try to follow these very simple Rules of the Road? Drive like the person ahead on the bike is your son/daughter. Ride like the cars are ambulances carrying your loved ones to the emergency room. This should cover everything, unless you are complete sociopath.”
Letter to VeloNews from David Desautels.
Funny how things work. Last year at this time I was actually listening to the Infinity War soundtrack to pump myself up during workouts. All the training lead me to this moment, haha!!! I will have this Gauntlet completed before Christmas. I'll see you after I collect the first stone. "Dread it. Run from it. Destiny arrives all the same." -Thanos
LIVE. Have I ever mentioned how much I love FOOD? This is a flashback pic to when I ate out all the time. Times have changed, lol. But more on what i've been sacrificing, changing, and learning another time. I wanna say that....
I BELIEVE: Always go after your goals, but never let anything get in the way of ENJOYING A GREAT MEAL. 😋 Unless you're indulging everyday...and in that case, umm, don't. Lol, but serioulsy, enjoy this life.
For some many the Holidays are a time filled with so much guilt. I want to encourage us all to enjoy our time and you can still keep pushing toward your goals while enjoying the season. Whether it's eating out with friends or enjoying the taste of the season, ENJOY! Shout out to my BREAKOUT teammate Jack @pharmtofoodie, who always keeps the food inspo flowing. 👊🏽
Amen to that!!! Isn’t it just THE BEST feeling ever!!! Sometimes you have toxic people on your life and you just don’t now how to remove remove them, which makes things really difficult... BUT when toxic people stop talking to you, they are doing you a HUGE favour because they have literally done your job for you!! Literally count your blessings when this happens!!!!
Almost. 🤘🏼 I can feel it coming. Can’t trust a fart. 🤭🚫💨 This is my last day of the #holidayketosischallenge . I’m not sure if it ends today, but I’m done. Why, you ask? Imma tell you. One of the top items on my gratitude list, with all due thanks to my #ketogeniclifestyle , is that I am free to make choices. So while this challenge might continue for others, today it ends for me. I know what I need to know about myself and my community.
Happy and productive weekends, y’all!

🧨I didn’t actually WANT to workout today. After getting up at 0445, traveling all day, and planning for a mandatory dinner tonight, I was TIRED. So, I knew I HAD to workout. Never met a workout I later regretted.
We need to be examples for our patients. If we tell them to make time to exercise, so do we. Don’t feel like it? GOOD.
Put on some music and get after it anyway. Now I’m pumped. That is all, keep scrolling.
Some women hide in the corner to do their weight lifting.
I am not one of those.
I will stand on the benches for my goblet squats, #notsorry .🤷🏼♀️😘
For the record, I don't have a problem with anyone "hiding" to do their weights. Do whatever it is that gets your booty in the gym! And if you're feeling brave, come stand on some benches with me! I'm nicer than I look I swear.😂 #RBF for life.
Rumour has it that @raymondthompson_fitness had a near miss with death recently and the lord almighty told him to stop being weak and practicing his ‘WOD’s’ and his ‘double unders’ and his ‘cardio’ 🤮 and start being a hero powerlifter again! 👀🔥🔥🏆👍
Apparently he has listened and is way on his way to becoming a legend once more! 😍😍😍
Some deadlifts and the world's slowest kipping action you'll ever see, still far too stiff to do these efficiently.
Playing around with how I'm scheduling my days and how I'm going to approach each week. Toyed around with four days but it's too much to fit in, physically always feel better when I dedicate a session exclusively to deadlift.
I've pretty much bastardised a great program I found by Brian Simmons #supertotalstrength . I've got some lofty goals next year and it's important I can bring up my oly work and maintain some good powerlifting numbers, hopefully all come to fruition come April 💪
You say you like snow, but you hide inside.
You say you like rain, but you use an umbrella.
You say you want change, but you sleep until noon.
You say you have discipline but you don’t actually participate in anything that forces you to put that discipline to the test.
What do all these things have in common? Stepping outside of your comfort zone.
The only way to get better and gain more resilience, mental toughness, physical strength, and financial success is to chase pain and discomfort. Every. Single. Day.
STAY with any task that is trying to beat you down until that pain becomes your new normal. And then push further.
Why are you ok with being mediocre? Why are you ok with living your life on autopilot? Why are you ok with doing the BARE MINIMUM?
This is my personal perspective on things. Talent is something that’s not in your control, but building skill definitely is. All of these tools listed above are skills that we can develop through practice. That’s a wonderful thing because if you’re willing to do the work, then you will build it. You will grow if you’re willing to put in the time. Don’t worry about talent. It means far less than a work ethic in the long run.

Learn to be ok with people not knowing your side of the story. You truly don’t need to justify or prove yourself to anyone.
Do not waste any energy on this. If people don’t see your true worth and true intentions, that’s not your problem.
