After shooting heaps of stuff all year, I find myself coming back to the Sarah’s archives time and time again. There is something so abstract and perfect about sand dunes...Especially when they are in top of North Africa. I am pretty sure I will be heading back in 2020. Who’s keen? 🐪 #hellofrom

Robert Birkby took ‘Frosty morning’ in Ripponden, West Yorkshire. It was commended by the judges in the Your View category in 2013.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“Overnight frost had painted everything white on this bitterly cold morning in the Pennines. On arrival at Baitings Reservoir I was pleased to see mist rising from the water, creating an eerie, almost monochromatic landscape. I needed something to add foreground interest and after some extensive searching found this small tree at the waters edge. The gradient of black to white formed the perfect background to really make the subject stand out.”

Broken Beach (Pasih Uug) is a scenic coastal formation on the southwestern edge of Nusa Penida island. The spot is marked by a hilly arch-like rock formation, which is the distinguishable landmark of the area. Set over the crashing waves of the open Indian Ocean, Broken Beach is a great spot for travel photographers and panoramic view seekers. The adjacent area is also home to grey long-tailed macaques. If you’re lucky, you may spot silhouettes of giant mantas near the surface of the deep blue water.

Deep Earth 🌋
The meaning of this canyon’s name is “dangerous”. In fact when visited it I was for sure impressed by the deep ravine but also from the various colors of the volcanic stones and minerals. .
