Because lunch was just that good!
One of the biggest challenges I think a lot of people face when working towards getting healthy, is keeping their nutrition dialed in. I know for me, it has always been my biggest struggle. I get bored easily, and I have a lot of dietary restrictions which often led to me going off course with my meal plan and opting for something else which usually wasn’t nearly as good for me. So I have made it a goal of mine to try new recipes each month so that I can fuel my body while also feeling satisfied —> and this one here was a an easy win! .
Buffalo Shrimp Lettuce Tacos 🌮 .
Ingredients: > 1 lb raw peeled shrimp > 1/3 cup Buffalo Sauce
> 2 tsp oil or butter for sautéing
> 1 tsp paprika
> 1/2 tsp garlic powder
> 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
> 1/4 tsp salt
> 1/8 tsp black pepper
> Bibb lettuce leaves to use as shells
> shredded carrots
> chopped red bell pepper
> chopped or sliced jalapeño pepper
> pickled carrots or pickled jalapeños > shredded cabbage or slaw
> chopped red onion
> chopped green onion
> fresh cilantro
> crushed red pepper flakes .
> Set defrosted shrimp in the fridge, covered, while you prep your tacos.
> Wash lettuce and chop your choice of veggies from the topping list.
> Heat a large pan or skillet to medium-high heat with 2 tsp of butter or oil (I used butter) and sauté your shrimp. Season with paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Cook on each side for about 2 minutes until shrimp curl and become opaque.
> Add buffalo sauce to pan and mix to coat while the pan is still hot.
> Pile the shrimp on your lettuce and top with your choice of tasty taco toppings.
I can’t wait to share this recipe with my bootcamp ladies!
I am so excited to announce that I have teamed up with some of my favorite coaches to put together the ultimate Bootcamp to help us feel good this holiday season and end the year strong.
The holidays don’t have to derail us and we don’t have to put our goals on hold until the new year. Yes there will be holiday parties and busy work events, the kids will have a lot going on with school and the idea of starting a new routine may sound nuts but let’s be real, WHEN DOES LIFE SLOW DOWN? It doesn’t.
Why not feel good in your clothes, enjoy the holidays in moderation and start 2020 a few steps ahead of the game? I promise you, the holidays are that much sweeter when you feel confident and aren’t beating yourself over the fact that you just YOLO’d for two months straight.
You will get access to online workouts that you can do at home or at the gym. They are short and designed for people with busy schedules. You will get a nutrition guide and customized meal plans that are full of healthy recipes but won’t deprive you of the foods you love. With access to my private Bootcamp and me as your coach, you will have a tribe to lean on and keep you accountable to your goals.
Why not feel good during the holidays? I have 8 spots open and we are registering NOW. $20 off the next 5 ladies to message me!
I’m doing this for the moms who need a little extra something but don’t exactly know what... I’m doing this for the postpartum moms who feel stuck and don’t know what to do.
But mostly I’m doing this because I was that mom. I am so happy I found what works for me! But what about you, are you trying to find something too? Let’s talk about your goals to see if it’s a great fit!
Current goal: Build healthy habits so that I can eat all the damn stuffing and pie I want on Thanksgiving with no guilt and no regret.
Do you ever get caught up in feeling like you have to eat what’s in front of you, just because it’s there? Yea me too. Growing up, we had the clean plate club, which I loved to be a part of because it meant that I was getting all the healthy food that I needed, I wasn’t being wasteful, and it made my parents happy. But it subconsciously built the idea that I needed eat until the food is gone, not until I was full and damn if I didn’t carry that into adulthood.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and as we get closer to it, I’m working on building healthy habits so that I can feel my best. I want to feel comfortable and confident in my clothes, in control of what and how much I eat and most importantly, I don’t want to feel guilty for overdoing it because, let’s be honest, I probably will.
Ok so how do I get to that place 👆🏻? First I’m going to keep moving my body. Even though this time of year is busy, I’m making my 30 min workout a priority so that I don’t fall out of routine and I can wake up thanksgiving morning ready to press play on a workout. Second, I’m dialing in my nutrition- not by cutting out any foods, but instead by focusing on proper portions so that I can recognize much food I should be eating to fuel my body. That way, come Thanksgiving, I can fill my plate with the right portions. THEN if I want seconds, I’ll allow it, but I’ll know I haven’t already gone over board with plate number one. Finally, I’m working on the mindset, reminding myself that I am strong enough to make these habits a reality and that indulging in my favorite meal of the year, won’t derail my progress!
I used to push back working on my goals until the new year, but WHY? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and all of the holidays in between, are just a few days over the course of a couple of months. Why not teach ourselves that it’s ok to work on our goals AND enjoy the holidays because the holidays are that much sweeter when you feel good about yourself.
I have 8 spots open in my End of the Year Bootcamp- shoot me a message for more details!
"Fantastic shampoo, I have to be careful what shampoo I use on Scout as he has allergies and sensitive skin. It's fairly hard to find a decent, natural and gentle shampoo for allergy dogs and for any dog for that matter! Other shampoo's I have tried have left Scout itchy and with white flakes all over, not Dog Hair Day! Highly recommend and it's a lovely smell that lasts!" Call if you have any questions about our shampoo or any of our other products.

Left photo is how I want people to think I dress all the time; cute colour coordinated outfits. Right photo is actually how I dress pretty much all the time; muddy wet trainers, socks pulled up over some dog hair covered sports leggings 😂 Dressing up is fun to do but my heart definitely lies with the scruffy side - doing what I do best by working alongside animals every day 🥰🐶 #dogwalkersofinstagram#doghaireverywhere

We’ll just let the pictures tell the story on this one. There’s nothing we can’t handle

Maybe it’s day one, the very first day you are committed to change, or maybe it’s day one, AGAIN, because you have tried, given up, failed, and restarted more times than you can count.
Girl I have been there. I know what it’s like to feel so tired and frustrated with yourself that you finally commit to try something new, but then it gets hard, you get tired, life gets busy and the momentum just...stops.
It is freaking HARD to keep showing up every day, especially when you aren’t seeing results. I know because I have been there.
I used to go to the gym every single day. But unless I was skipping meals, or doubling up on my workouts, I wasn’t seeing change. And, spoiler alert, those skipped meals ALWAYS ended up with me eating an entire sleeve of Oreo cookies before the week’s end.
Because I went to the gym everyday, I didn’t understand why I wasn’t seeing the scale move. I had convinced myself that the gym would “fix” my poor nutritional choices and I knew that if I just tried harder, I’d be able to avoid the cookies next time...spoiler alert, that never happened.
If ever there was someone reluctant to try something new, it was me. But then I hit a wall. I was so tired of being tired, so I decided to take a step back and put my faith into a different system. I began an at home workout program and it worked.
For the first time I had an entire team of trainers and nutritionists working with me. I had an exact workout plan to follow that had me challenging my body in new ways with moves designed to work multiple muscle groups at once so that I could see better results in less time. I had an easy nutrition plan that taught me how and when to eat the foods I LOVE in a way that would fuel my body. Eventually I stopped working towards being skinny and decided it felt so much better to be strong. I stopped worrying about the scale and starting focusing on how I felt in my clothes.
Now I do these programs alongside other women in my online bootcamps. Maybe it’s time you try something new?? It’s not too late to finish 2019 feeling GOOD. Message me for details on my End of the Year Bootcamp, let’s do it together!
Where my Roomba people at?!
Seriously. I need a robotic vacuum ASAP. #doghaireverywhere 🐶🥴
I’ve had a Roomba (probably 10 years ago), and I’ve had a Shark (more recently). Neither were great to me. The main problem I had: they were always getting stuck or hung up on the rugs. We have wood floors (no carpet anywhere), so I need something that can go over rugs with ease.
Okay gimme all your thoughts!
It’s the time of the year....
Proud big ‘fur’ brother 😅

Cleaning my house today and doing some fall pick up before we get snow next week 🤦🏻♀️
Anyone else wish they had a house cleaner? Three dogs (including Justin 😂) is too much hair for one girl to handle. Brb while I chug a whole pot of coffee🤘🏻
🚨Added a new member to the family... Everyone meet Zoë the Newfie! 8 weeks old, 16 lbs. She’s a Newfoundland doggy, so she’s gonna be HUGE. Got her over the weekend. Her mom was a rescue that surprised her owners when she popped out babies a few weeks later. She likes to eat ALOT, likes water, and is a snuggle monster. Stay tuned for a new Instagram page 😆. @gina_grice#teamnosleep#doghaireverywhere#newfie#newfoundland#zoethenewfie
