MEET Gladys! ❤️ .
Gladys is a 5 year old Terrier, American Pit Bull/Mix.
“Gladys came to WARL after her neglectful owners were forced to surrender her. Gladys was almost completely bald, covered in scabs, having a hard time walking and you could see the hurt in her eyes. Fast forward two months in a foster home. Gladys has been on medication, loved, spoiled and treated like the queen she is. Gladys has come miles from where she started, but still has some improvements to make and some of Gladys struggles will be life long. Gladys's fur is slowly growing back with care and attention and she has some lumps and bumps typical with an aging dog. Gladys's knees are that of a dog twice her age. It's unsure if this is due to an old injury or genetics, but she is on daily pain medication to make her comfortable and more mobile to go about her everyday life. Gladys's new family will need to understand and be prepared to take on all of her medical needs and help her along the way. If you have met her you'll understand just how easy that is! Gladys didn't get the memo that she has had a rough start to life. Since being in her foster home her personality has truly blossomed. She plays with toys, snuggles with her family and her favorite pasttime is lounging by the fireplace. Do you have a big heart, open home with no other animals and a fireplace? Then please check out this beautiful soul and see how easy it was for us to fall in love. Gladys is still in her foster home while we look for a permanent home” @worcesterarl

I love checking the mail every day anyways, but this time of year makes me extra happy! Just got a Christmas card from the adorable @mrbradydoodle and his family today! This #ThankfulThursday , we want to express our gratitude to the amazing donors in our community. Apollo is a heartwarming example of what the generosity of people can do. Apollo’s hind legs were paralyzed due to prior trauma, but thanks to someone’s incredible donation, he is unstoppable in his new custom set of wheels! Apollo will be posted for #adoption in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes out for more information on this little Superman.
In the meantime, Apollo would appreciate diaper donations! Please DM us if you are able to help!
If you are interested in making any other donations, feel free to visit lasthopek9.org/donate, or reach out to supportLH@lasthopek9.org!
