Spent yesterday at the lake after our original plans were threatened with severe weather. I feel like so many plans keep getting ruined lately, and the world is crazy. It is refreshing to just get on IG and see a bunch of happy pet photos! Hope everyone is safe out there and have a happy Monday!
Maxime wants to know! Is this your Monday face? Well... #boopmynose and see what some friends have been up to this morning and we hope it lifts that #mondaymood 😀

Poor Gordy!! We're not sure what happened to him, but he's now in one of the highest kill shelters in the country!! 😭💔
His stray hold is up and he needs a plan ASAP!! .
And you'd think after what he's been through that he would be mean and aggressive. WRONG!! Gordy is so super sweet and has no regard when walked by other dogs!! Gordy is very calm and loves treats, he a little bit lazy when it comes to walking on a leash, but doesn't mind being picked up by our staff from point A to point B!
Didn't show any aggression when walked passed other dogs. He let staff handle him and wagged his tail but he is timid and who can blame him.

On the first day of #PrideMonth , we remember and acknowledge that #Pride started as a protest in response to police harassment and it was led by a Black trans woman and a Latina trans woman: Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera. #BlackTransLivesMatter (@usowomen)

BE VERY CAREFUL when using these "hot oils"
*Clove, cinnamon bark, oregano, mountain savory, tarragon, tea tree, pine oils, citrus oil, cassia, thyme*
Just like you add water to concentrated cleaners, use a dilution agent when using these essential oils on your pets. I recommend 1 drop essential oil to 6-8 drops carrier (such as coconut oil.)
When applied topically these oils can create a burning sensation, which is very unpleasant!
These oils are still therapeutic, but must be used in much smaller doses when using on our pets.
If you are in search of an amazing four-legged friend, I have one in mind: ME! My name is Camofrog (846893) and I am an 8ish month old Shepherd/Husky mix boy. I am sure the first thing you noticed is my amazing eyes and then my darling ears. I am more than just a handsome face though! I am a gentle, laid back, and loving pup that loves to make friends. I love sitting close for love and will give kisses to say I like you (or maybe you have food on your face). I am smart too and know SIT already! So much good to say about myself and so little space! Just come meet me and see for yourself!
Jonathan is a Laredo street dog who has been hanging out at his finders for a few weeks.
He is 1.5 years old, 57 pounds, HW negative, has one round of DHPP and Bordetella vaccines, plus his rabies vaccine (on 5/16). He is not neutered yet. The Good Sam provided heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Jonathan is great with other dogs and with people. He's a beautiful dog who is in an outdoor pen and needs a real home.
Snow White the missing dog update ❤️ Posted @withregram • @fosterfriendsforsnowdrop What a difference a week makes. 😭💕 Snow White’s story is full twists and turns! After 4 weeks truly on the run through DFW, Snow was captured in Celina after a 35 mile journey in only 2.5 days. We knew if we didn’t get her to safety then, we might never have another chance. The top picture is the night she came to our home only one week ago. Nobody could touch her and she was terrified. A week later she is comfortable with me petting her and has even started giving nose kisses. Baby steps, sweet girl! You are blooming. .

No matter how tough a response is, being able to touch the lives of hundreds of animals makes it all so so worth it.

#FlashbackFriday to April 2017 when we took over the care of this cutie after tornadoes rampaged through Canton, separating many animals from their homes. After holding the animals found for 4 weeks and all attempts for reunification were made, there were 101 animals that were not reclaimed. All animals were accepted to placement partners out of state where they found their new furrever homes.
