Still so many choose to get a puppy, many without even getting themselves informed about the breed they're getting...
No, getting a "cool" looking pup because they think it'll make them look "cool" too...
It's not about what the dog needs... So what probably happens is that in the end the dog ends up with mental problems or in a shelter because he or she is so "fucked up". Don't get me wrong, they all deserve a loving life but this is exactly what keeps breeders going.
Especially those who want to make a quick buck.
Many times i've heard people say they rather buy a pup as they think they can train them to their standards, saying when adopting a shelter dog they don't know what they're 'gonna get'... So... what happened to the dog ending up in the shelter?
Remember: It’s HOT out there! Never leave an unattended child or pet in the car. It only takes minutes to cause serious injury. A crying baby is noticeable in the back seat, but a sleeping baby might be easy to forget. Please look before you leave.
One of the biggest dangers during the summer is leaving children or pets in a hot vehicle. If you get out of the car, your child or pet needs to come with you! If you’re going somewhere that’s not pet-friendly, leave your pet at home!
So, it's been about 100° here and I am sweating to death. 🥵🥵 Please send help.
On a serious note, I want to talk about leaving kids in hot cars. A mom in a city nearby left her 3 kids in the car while she ran into the store just a few days ago.
I'm not here to pass judgement, I just want to urge you to come up with a system to ensure you never leave your kids in the car.
Obviously, no one thinks to themselves, "hey let's leave the kids in the hot car". But the fact that it does happen means it could happen to anyone.
Maybe you leave your keys with one of your kiddos so that you won't be able to lock the car with them in there. Or train yourself to always open your back door as soon as you get out - even when the kids aren't with you, just do a quick scan.
Other tips I've read:
✔️ Keep a stuffed animal in your passenger seat to remind you to check the back
✔️ Put something you'll need (keys, phone, wallet) under your child's seat
✔️ If you take your kid to daycare, ask them to call you if your child doesn't arrive.
✔️ If other people ever drive with your child, talk to them about taking precautions, as well.
Just FYI, it only takes a 57-degree outside temperature to cause heatstroke in a car. On an 80-degree day, temperatures inside a vehicle can reach deadly peaks in 10 minutes.
Let's make this summer the safest one yet. ❤️

📢We interrupt your regularly scheduled program for an important announcement.⤵️ Good Morning Friends!🙋♀️
Just a friendly reminder please call your local police department if you see an animal or child in a hot car!
Temps today, are going to be near 90🔥🔥!
Also, please be cautious when walking your pup, pavement today is going to be 🔥🔥🔥🔥.
Thank you, Love Auntie Maggs ❤
Surely this shouldn't need to be said but apparently peo6leave there dogs in cars alone. You wouldnt leave your child would you? So why leave another member of the family alone in the car in this hot weather. #rspca#dogsarefamily#dontleavethem
It’s that time of year that unfortunately we need to be very aware of this. If you see something ACT don’t assume it’s only been a few minutes. It only takes a few minutes to inflict damage or possible death to a pet.
Now, Florida has a law to protect those that take action to get an animal out of a hot car.
There are certain specifications you need to follow: -First you need to make sure that all of the doors are locked
-If they are, call 911 to alert police to the situation
-Use only as much force as necessary to get into the vehicle
-Remain with the animal and vehicle or within a safe proximity until law enforcement arrives

Moving to our new home in COS, my family and I were greeted by a very friendly outdoor kitty. He just wanted to be loved. I would have brought him in in a heartbeat if Bella wasn’t such a mommy’s girl (putting it nicely). In talking to our new neighbors we found out that this older love bug of a cat had been left behind when his family moved from the neighborhood a few years back. My heart broke! How could someone do that? He is ok, he is well loved by all the people of the community here and is regularly checked on by the local ASPCA, but my heart hurts for the animals who are left behind. So if you are in COS, or not. If it’s cold or not. Snowy or not. Flooding or not. They can’t speak, we need to be their voices. Please don’t abandon your pets. They deserve better than that. You took them in and promised to love them. So do just that. Love them. Through the cold. The hot. The snowy season. The rain. The fleas. The hunger. Through it all. They depend on you. ♥️
