Our city is beautiful when it’s clean, so let’s keep it that way! There are bin all over melbourne that keep our city sustainable. We have bins to reduce the amount of litter the public create. In Australia more that 1.9 billion tons of litter end up in the ocean every year therefore the drop of waste and littering is a huge issue that our society is facing. All around the city of Melbourne including places like Birrarung Marr, South Bank and DFO you will spot many bins to inspire people to put their rubbish in the bin and do as much as possible to save our planet! 🌎 Currently our earth is facing many environmental issues one being the large amount of land waste that is being produced join Melbourne City in the participation to reduce this and use the Bins!!! Let’s continue to keep our city sustainable and looking beautiful. #melbourne#savetheplanet#dontlitter
Last season we collected plastic from the mountains. This season we will be releasing a range produced from this repurposed, recycled plastic. .
We collected plastic from the floor of the mountain, as well as local businesses, restaurants and bars. With over 10 bin bags collected a month.
Nogen har haft sig en fest. Men hvem rydder op? Ispinde må IKKE smides i naturen! Selvom de er lavet af træ tager de op til 10 år om at nedbrydes i naturen 🤭🌳
Someone has had a party. But who cleans it up? Ice cream sticks must NOT be thrown in nature! Although they are made of wood, they take up to 10 years to decompose in nature 🤭🌳

Yesterday’s beautiful end of summer weather was spent at a historic village in South Jersey. Standing on the bridge over the water, we saw turtles eating a paper plate 😔 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Be responsible for your trash. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I found this on the ground at a local park - isn’t it sad when people just litter without care and don’t think about where it could end up.
If you see something that could easily be recycled (plastic bottle) go and recycle it otherwise no-one will...
Why do people in this day and age still throw litter? Walking on a country road in Spain and the roadside was full of bottles, cans and other litter. Obviously just thrown from a car window. Careless and lazy - take your litter home!!! 😡 #dontlitter#goforawalk#nature#serraniaderonda#spain
This evening, Matilda and I decided to join the huge amount of people soaking up the last of the day’s spring warmth for a sunset walk on the jetty. Our conversation was initially based around how gorgeous the beach and the ocean and the sky was. It was glorious. There were people out walking, fishermen doing their thing and three pelicans perched up high watching it all.
But then, on the walk back, we noticed a pair of latex gloves discarded and sitting right on the edge of the jetty just waiting to be blown in and swallowed up by some poor, unsuspecting wildlife. We couldn’t believe it.
This little pile is what we collected from ON THE JETTY! Seriously! How grotty, irresponsible and uncaring are some people? A couple of these things were picked up from right next to the feet of two people sitting on a bench watching the gorgeous view!! Some people really don’t get it.
Once we were back on the foreshore, the amount of rubbish we saw was incredible. There was only so much I could do at 6pm with a hungry 4 year old at my feet but we will go back with rubbish bags to clean up some more this week.
A lovely evening walk left me feeling really sad and horrified. The irony of people who go to the beach, because they love the beach, and then treat it like a rubbish dump.
Rant over. For now, anyway.
Summer is growing closer and closer by the day, so this is a friendly reminder from me to you to not litter while you are out enjoying the summer sun, it’s not hard to put your rubbish in the bin! And avoid using single use plastics!!!!! Let’s work together to maintain our planet 🌏🌊🌸
Coca-cola, Pepsi, McDonald’s and Mondelez (Cadbury’s) are among 10 brands which account for more than half of all litter found on British beaches and in rivers. Are we really surprised though? .
Tap ❤️ if you think these brands should try and make their packaging more sustainable and people shouldn’t litter!
Which brands do you see littered around a lot? Let us know in the comments below! 👇🏼 #doitfordavid

Have you ever had one of those days where you just want to yell at kids for littering but instead destroy a whole city?
Its the school holidays here in the UK and already i’ve started to notice an increase in the amount of litter around. It doesn’t matter where you drop it, chances are the wind will blow it into a stream, river or drain and therefore end up in our beautiful ocean. It’s simple folks, don’t drop your rubbish, and if possible, take it with you and recycle it properly ✅ #doitfordavid#dontbeatosser .
It really winds me up when I see disposable BBQs and cigarette butts left on the beach 🙈 What items do you particularly hate seeing littered? Comment below! 👇🏼
YES! 😁This is such great news! Major UK festivals plan to eliminate single-use plastics by 2021! It might not be an immediate change, but these things take time to do properly and for them to be able to make it cost-effective 🙏🏼 This is part of the push to achieve zero waste at Live Nation’s clubs and venues. They have even called on supermarkets to stop marketing festival tents as single-use items 🙌🏼 It’s a step in the right direction 🙏🏼 #bethepollutionsolution#doitfordavid
