There is a sacredness to being invited to a dress rehearsal. Kinks are still being worked out - sound, lighting, vocals, instruments etc. There is a vulnerability to showing another human being, everything you’ve worked on, subjecting yourself to their opinions. It’s the same in theatre, concerts, plays... I never take for granted being in this space. While I work with creatives on the back end of their businesses, it’s always a privilege to see them doing what they’re created to do. It fuels me to see them in their element and it’s an honor I don’t take for granted.
Night two of dress rehearsal was simply amazing! 🥰Seeing our group routines hit the stage for the first time in a season is one of the most magical moments. ✨So much love for our incredible team! ❤️ Thank you to Miss Leanne for taking a few stage shots from the balcony while filming! While growing up, every time I used to watch "Pretty Woman"; a part of me used to envy the luck of Vivian; for being able to witness an opera live at such a majestic theatre. But there's something that even probably Edward Lewis couldn't have bought for her; and those are the tickets for the dress rehearsal for an opera show; before it formally opens for the general audience; for that's something which is truly priceless.
Although being a novice I couldn't see any flaw in the performance and was just left mesmerized; the beauty of such a special show is that you could hear artists around you; discussing how the performance can still be improved in the next or the final opening show. There are family and friends all around; so, you can actually feel all the hard work, perseverance and toil of the artists that had gone in the making of the masterpiece. The energy is unmatched.
Don Giovanni is a timeless classic; and the director's vision of giving it the MeToo undertone of today is a brilliant move. While everyone is equally brilliant, a special shout-out to the person who played Donna Elvira. Her character, with effortlessly singing Mozart in soprano; brings both comic relief and tears. She's sure to stay, even when the show's over!
Oh yes, also, let's take a moment to appreciate the Kennedy Center; its magnificent architecture and the production of the show. Have you ever watched an opera with subtitles?
Working on this show has been a blast, has humbled me in my art, and reminded me to refocus. I’m excited to start this tour off right on Saturday!Come see us this Saturday at 7:30pm in midtown. Admission is free. There is a love collection after the show. See ya there!

If you want to “make it” as a singer, STOP auditioning!⠀
I’m obsessed with empowering singers! That’s why I hate watching you work draining day jobs in order to support your singing hobby.⠀
Why? Because singing is NOT your hobby! It’s your calling, your vocation, your PASSION.⠀
✅Really singing is your business. You just forgot to put on your CEO pants!⠀
And because you’re not acting like a CEO, you're not thinking about your bottom line, the ROI (return on investment) of where you put your focus and resources.⠀
You’ve tried lots of things. And by lots of things, I mean lots of different auditions. Because each audition feels like a new opportunity. Doesn’t it?⠀
➡️But auditions are only ONE avenue to achieving your singing goals. And quite honestly they’re not a great one. ⠀
Why? Because they focus all the power in someone else’s hands.⠀
You want power over your own career, don’t you?⠀
Well, to be the empowered singer, you know you can be, you’ve got to create your own content. ⠀
Really you’ve got to create your own opportunities!🔥⠀
So how can you take charge of your singing business?⠀
✅Become way more careful about which auditions you choose to attend. Only go when you know the ROI makes sense.⠀
✅Start diversifying your income by choosing an area of specialization as a performer (like wedding singing) or coach (like singing teacher) or both! I did both for years!⠀
✅Create your own singing content and share it regularly. Then use it to introduce yourself to people so they can get to know you and your music!⠀
Want support on your journey to becoming a Profitable Singerpreneur?⠀
➡️Then leave a comment, because tomorrow I'll choose one winner from the comments for a FREE Instagram Bio Audit! ⠀

💎Who is Imam Hussein?
⚔️What has happened so massive on Ashura in Karbala?
The biggest disaster of history is Martyrdom of Imam Hosein and his faithful companions.. A person who suffered martyrdom with his 72 faithful companion having parched lips, then their head were cut and their body were crushed under horse hooves and their family, wife, childes were took into captivity.
He is the grandchild of the Prophet inviting the world to the peace, justice and goodness. Imam Hosein mentioned that: I never give up oppression.
One of the characteristic of Imam Hosein is that every believer remind him will be sad.
40 days after martyrdom of Imam Hosein and his companions, his wife and childes taking into captivity were allowed to come back and meet his sacred tomb.
Shiite (Muslim who believe on Imam Hosein) named the day of Imam Martyrdom Ashoora and 40 days after that his wife and Childs were allowed to meet his scared tomb is called Arbaein.. Every year millions of people whether walking on their foot or by car from distant and neighbor country come to the Karbala on Arbaein.
Pilgrimage swear allegiance again with the goals and ideals of Imam Hosein including battling with oppression, avoiding dualism, infidelity, not giving up oppression.
Last year, population of Imam Hosein pilgrims maybe reached to the 20 millions.
This year, in spite of threat of daesh terrorist, more population wants to dispatch to Karbala from different countries.
The west media don't report this wonderful event and a rally of more than 20 millions or if they report, they show it unimportant. .
